Chapter 1 .
It was about mid afternoon . Stefan and Katherine were sitting on the steps to the boarding house .
It all started with the blue piece of cloth . That one piece that could have been no smaller than a piece of toast . But to her it was much more than that .
Thank you kind sir , and how might I repay you ? Katherine was asking .
No need necessary . Stefan replied .
Are you sure ? I couldn't just go and let my hero off with a thanks , and good bye . It's not lady like .
Just then Damon appeared at the door way to the boarding house .
Well hello there my lady . And how are we today ? Damon suggested .
Damon stepped off of the porch steps and grabbed hold of Katherine's tender hand . Kissing it .
Oh my . Hello to you too Damon Salvatore . She said while blushing .
I was just helping Katherine catch her handkerchief . Stefan butted in between the two of them .
Damon walked over to Stefan and tasselled his hair messing it up .
And I was just asking your brother how I could repay him . Katherine smirked
Damon pondered for a moment , then leaned over to Stefan whispering something into his ear .
Well … Katherine asked .
