Summary: Dying and being reborn is one thing. Dying and being reborn into a fictional world - your favourite one at that - is on a whole other level. Male OC/SI, major AU

AN: Welcome to my story! I read a lot of different stories and after some time I had some weird ideas and here I am, trying to put all those Ideas together as a story. This is a rather dark story so there'll be some unethical, scandalous, less-than-sociably-acceptable actions.

"Just what have you become?" a worried Minato Namikaze uttered while he stared at the newest release of the Bingo Book. In between his hands was a certain silver-blonde shinobi's page, the Prince of the Ketsuryugan. The kid was only two years older than his own son and yet he was already listed in the Bingo Book as a Nukenin, an A-Rank Nukenin.

Minato never understood how the joyful boy he knew, became such a cold, bloodthirsty monster. Minato knew that war wasn't undemanding and that it was partly his fault for letting another one happen. Perhaps that is also the reason, why the sudden betrayal of his former Jonin hit him much harder than he thought. Was it all an act? Minato wondered. Did he plan on betraying Konoha right from the start?

"Whatever the reason for his treason was, it isn't your fault, Minato." Uzumaki Kushina tried her best to brighten her up her husband.

"I am the Hokage, Kushina. It is my fault! Everything that happened since the Third's abdication is my fault…" the Fourth uttered remorsefully.

"Minato, nobody could've anticipated what happened back then. It was so… sudden." Kushina tried to find the best words to answer her low-spirited spouse. "Besides, doesn't Naruto want to bring him back? I'm sure that he'll succeed. All you have to worry about now is… is how to end this war."

When I died, I never expected to get another chance at life. I especially never ever expected to be reborn in a fictional world. No, I certainly did not, but here I was. A wanted runaway from Konohagakure no Sato. Why, you ask. Well, it's simple. This world and Masashi Kishimoto's perfect world where everything works out in the end were simply not the same. This was reality and in reality, shinobi are not nice. In fact, shinobi (and kunoichi alike) were the most vicious and unhallowed people to be alive. They were manipulative, stone-cold, sadistic, ferocious and ruthless. To them, mercy was a foreign thing. Sure, there may have been exceptions. But still, most of the shinobi and kunoichi were simply cold-blooded mass murderers and most children even voluntarily wanted to become such monsters. Myself included. I too was a shinobi. I too wanted to become a shinobi and I sure as hell will never regret becoming one, because as a civilian your chances of surviving in this world were practically zero.

"We have to leave; I can sense shinobi approaching. Should be around nine Chunin led by three Jonin." Fū noted with a bored lilt to his tone. Having a Yamanaka around has always been an advantage for me, but not only for me. For anyone, actually. The Yamanaka Clan was probably one of the most underrated Clans in Konoha. Nara and Aburame following right after.

"How strong?" Katashi asked.

"Both of the jonin should be around high B-Rank or low A-Rank level, the chunin are mostly B-Rank level threats, a few are C-Ranked. Not too easy to handle, but not a big problem either." Fū slowly answered after a few seconds.

"If we defeat them, we'll be able to stay here." I added. "We don't want them to know where we're headed to, now do we?"

Katashi nodded in response before going in his usual thinking pose. Well, at least that's what I called it. He was sitting in a squatting position and always had his eyes closed, his hands hung around loosely. I once asked him why he'd sit like that; he just shrugged and told me that it was less tiresome for him to focus that way. Once he opened his eyes Katashi started to announce his new plan. "First of all, we need a distraction. A strong Genjutsu preferably. That should keep them busy for a while." Have I already told you that his genius rivaled that of Shikamaru? No? Well, now you know. Sometimes it creeped me out, though…

"I can do that. The Bringer-of-Darkness Technique should do it, right?" I asked.

"Yep, should do it." he replied before continuing his explanation.

Half an hour later, everyone was in their designated position. Just in time, before the enemy caught up to us. What, frankly, wasn't that difficult, since we were resting.

"So it is true. Konoha's Prince has deserted." a foreign voice snarled.

"Hm, and who are you?" I asked. "Aside from being a weak ass jonin, of course?"

"Telling you who I am is only a waste of time, you'll be dead after this fight anyways." he retorted angrily. I smirked and pulled out a kunai from my holster, the jonin mirrored my movements. Then I sloppily got into my stance and waited for him to attack. The jonin obviously wasn't born yesterday, so he didn't fall for my little trap. No, instead he signaled two of his comrades to attack, both of them were chunin. I waited.

Blindly attacking won't do you any good. That was the first thing shishou-ue taught me.

I was now surrounded; the Jonin still in front of me, both of the chunin diagonally behind me. I waited. It was all a game of patience. During the Chunin Exams, blindly attacking each other was a normal thing to do, it entertained the audience. This, however, obviously wasn't the Chunin Exams, so patience was important. Eventually the younger chunin's patience snapped and he stormed forwards. I quickly turned around and threw a second kunai at him, forcing him to dodge. Then I jumped up in the air backwards and formed the hand seals for my signature jutsu; Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique.

A huge fireball left my mouth, drying my lips while doing so. "Everyone, jump back… now!" the jonin ordered. I was standing on a branch, warily watching the fire fade. Then suddenly I heard a silent clang behind me, too silent for normal ears to hear, but not for the ears of a trained shinobi. Mere seconds later, however, the kunai speared my neck, causing the Shadow Clone to disappear.

The jonin waited a few minutes, then signaled the other shinobi to slowly come out of their hiding spots. "Morons." I whispered amused, then when I saw all twelve shinobi and kunoichi gathered in the clearing, I quickly formed the tiger seal and cast a genjutsu.

"I can't see!" one of the younger chunin screamed panic-stricken.

"What's going on?" another asked worried.

"Everyone calm down, this is just a Genjutsu." one of the other two jonin said calmly.

"Just because the genjutsu is easily detectable, doesn't mean that you can break it as easily." I uttered, causing the shinobi to look up. Being too distracted by my voice most of the shinobi didn't notice the single shadow slowly approaching their own. Only four somehow noticed in time and jumped away, right into swarms of kikaichū who captured the ninja, giving Fu the perfect chance of using his clan's technique. The four shinobi now fought against each other without even knowing. The other eight were currently captured in Katashi's Shadow Paralysis Jutsu, giving Haku and Isao an easy game to finish them all up.

"We are shinobi, we live in the shadows and attack when our opponent expects it the least. Patience is our strongest ally whereas carelessness is our greatest foe." I quoted while still sitting in my spot, hidden in the shadows of the tree. My double-bladed scythe loosely laying on my shoulder, my legs slackly dangling in the air.

"What are you, an old geezer?" Fu asked me.

"Nah, just quoting shishou-ue… Which village did the shinobi belong to anyways?"

"Yugakure, why?" Haku answered.

"Curious.. let's burn them and retreat to our camp."

As I already explained, this world is nothing like the show. Most of the people aren't nice, especially not kunoichi or shinobi which is why I can fully understand and relate to Madara-sama's plan. The only way to stop the war and prevent new to come is to cast an eternal Genjutsu… or to destroy the whole shinobi world as it is now and create an entirely new one, to destroy all villages and build up one, big village in which everyone can live peacefully. People would say it's nuts, impossible, freaky, megalomaniac. It is, but is it truly? I don't think that anything in this world is impossible, but for you to really fully understand my current situation, I should probably begin from the very beginning of my story…
