The sunlight glinted through the windowsill as the shimmer of light awoke Dr. Strange. He got up hastily and looked at himself in the mirror. "Handsome like always" he thought to himself. A moment later, he brushed his teeth, fixed his moustache, and got dressed in his new azure blue robe. He flung open the computer and sent a message to Christine. As he walked out the door, his cape made a great display of clumsiness by accidentally knocking over vases and books before flying to Strange's back. Strange looked back and cursed under his breath as he went back into his cozy and tiny room.
After quite a hassle of tidying, Dr. Strange hurried through the corridors passing other sorcerers who had made his acquaintance recently, after his glorious encounter with Dormammu, the lord of the Dark Dimension. Strange arrived at the conference room and talked with Wong, and other Elders.
"Sorry I'm late," said Strange.
"Actually we are the ones early which can be twice as rude as being late," said Master Kribu after numerous glances at his watch.
There was a ominous silence that hung in the air, and suddenly, an alarm buzzed.
Wong & Strange left the Elders to their discussion, sprinting to the sanctum room.
"It seems the London Sanctum is under attack!? Reports confirm of an highly powerful woman dressed in autumn orange and crimson red."
"Indeed."
"You go, protect the sanctum before it is destroyed once more ! It has been recently repaired and modified with dozens of layers of defense, yet it has been unsuccessful in keeping villains out and already been targeted ! Strange follow my descriptions, and restrain from fighting in the real world. The Mirror Dimension, I dare suggest. "
"No Promises Wong! " said Strange with that cocky grin of his.
With that, Wong opened a portal with his Sling Ring and Strange charged in.
Strange found himself in the renovated London Sanctum.
"Impressive," he murmured. The red walls complemented the midnight black floor, dull yet it stood out. Suddenly a figure in green bolted past him. Strange turned and saw the Staff of the Living Tribunal.
"Morto,"said Strange.
"Strange, my friend the Ancient One, she's back with death on her mind !"
"She's alive?!"
Suddenly, a figure strode into the room.
"Greetings, Dr. Strange ! You're just the person I shall kill, so I can destroy the London sanctum!"
"Well, you're going to fail."
They raised their hands and fought without hesitation. The Ancient One seemed to have the advantage, striking and jabbing here and there, at such speed it almost looked scary... Strange, on the other hand, was playing the battle safe, blocking dangerous kicks and jabs with his mystical shield using Vishanti magic.
Then, Strange saw his chance and struck a blow to the Ancient One's torso and swept her off her feet before she could recover, sending her sprawling. She lay on the ground, her whole body seething with anger.
"It's over. "said Strange.
"So very foolish of you… Thanks for your sling ring by the way!"
Strange frowned frantically checking his back pocket where he last put his sling ring.
"NO"
And with that, a portal opened and The Ancient One was gone.
