Okay, I've had this idea for a while now and I finally found a way to fit it into the saga so I hope you all enjoy this "Special" Story. P.S. This is The fourth Story in the Saga, so if you haven't yet, read The Avatar Saga: The Next Move...The Avatar Saga: Love Never Forgotten...and The Avatar Saga: Long Lost Bender.
Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar, I only own Nianzu, his friends, and The Spirits of Sunachi.

Chapter 1:

Old Friends of Nianzu

Two Months Ago...
Outskirts of The Southern Water Tribe...

Nianzu was speeding towards Whale Tail Island, sending air currents behind the boat to help him go faster. Every now and then he would stop and look at his most prized Possession, The Ancient Spirits of Sunachi. It had been almost four hours since Nianzu had left the Southern Water Tribe, to pursue his new destiny. He had learned of the Sunachi, Ancient Spirits of The Spirit World, the Spirits that created the Earth we stand on, the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the fire that heats us. Nianzu knew his destiny; but to pursue it he needed help. The held of some Old Friends he had met on his way to the Southern Water Tribe. The same words Tau had said replayed in his mind

"If you're ever on Whale Tail Island, look us up."

And Nianzu was going to do just that. It began to get dark so Nianzu stopped the boat. Opening his bag he took out a blanket and a pillow. He made some space and lay down in the boat, trying to ignore the ice cold weather. He was able to finally fall asleep, though it wasn't a peaceful slumber he was still able to get some sleep. He had woken up many times in the night from the icy cold breeze.

Inside The Spirit World...

"We shouldn't have told him...now the whole World could be in danger!" Gyatso exclaimed to the Spirits of Sunachi.

"Usually we could tell when someone is lying...but that boy...there's something about him that makes him...unique." The Spirits of Sunachi said in unison.

"Other than the airbending?" Gyatso asked.

They all nodded together, "Nianzu is unlike other humans...he has strength greater than others. His wisdom is far beyond Avatar Aang's, and his Temper is that of a Tiger-dillo." they said in unison.

They held out their hands as a small image appeared of Nianzu sleeping, "The boy is not to be harmed, he must learn his own Destiny. And if he doesn't Avatar Aang will have to make a...deadly decision."

Gyatso gasped, "But Aang is one of the most peaceful Air Nomads ever to be born! He wouldn't even kill Ozai, so he certainly won't kill Nianzu!" Gyatso shouted.

"Gyatso...If Aang is truly an Avatar...he will make the right choice. And if not...Avatar Wong will do what needs to be done." They said.

"You mean?"

"Yes...Avatar Wong will use Aang's body...to finish...the job."

Gyatso looked to the floor, "I-I-I understand...if that is what must be done to protect the World, then I have no say in it." he gave in, a small tear running down his cheek.

Nianzu wake up early in the morning. He quickly got up and grapped an oar, rowing the boat towards Whale Tail Island. It had taken him atleast another six hours before he had could finally see land ahead. He sighed in relief, now knowing he was going in the right direction. Nianzu stopped paddling and began shooting air currents out of his hands, making the boat go four times it's normal speed. A few hours later, Nianzu docked on the shore of the Island. He grabbed his bag from the boat and headed for a small town.

He couldn't believe how many people were in this town, considering it was so small. He looked around town for his friends, asking the locals if they knew where they might be. Most of the locals hadn't an idea where they would be, and some hadn't ever heard of them. Nianzu had been walking for hours now and was about to give up. There was a young man around Tau's age, so he walked over him.

"Excuse, do you know where Tau, Sorin, or Ryu live?" Nianzu asked.

"No I don't know where they live, but I think Tau works at a tea shop a few blocks down. I think its called the Red Dragon." the man explained.

Nianzu thanked the man and headed down the block, looking for the Red Dragon. Nianzu had walked for a mile before finally finding the Red Dragon.

"Table for one please." Nianzu asked the waiter as he walked inside. The waiter led Nianzu to his table, giving him a small menu. Nianzu covered his face with the menu as he looked around the shop.

A young man, around 15 or 16 walked over to Nianzu. He had two threads of hair that hung over the left side of his head, and long thick brown hair, similar to Hakoda's. He was wearing a red robe but his threads had blue beads in them.

"May I take your order?" the man asked.

"Yes you can." Nianzu said, removing the Menu covering his face.

The man's eyes grew slightly, "Nianzu! Is that you?"

"How ya doing buddy?" Nianzu asked.

"Great...I can't believe you actually came back." he exclaimed. Nianzu stood up and Tau went on his break. They left the restaurant and walked down the street.

"You told me to look you up if I ever came to Whale Tail Island, and now here I am." Nianzu said.

"I never thought you would. How is your training with Avatar Aang? Did you already master airbending?" Tau asked.

"Well...let's just say that me and Aang aren't on the best of terms right now." Nianzu said simply.

"What do you mean?" Tau asked.

"It's a long story, I'll tell you later. Where is Sorin and Ryu?" Nianzu asked.

"Well, Ryu decided to join the local Earth Kingdom Police, and he's been pretty busy. He's gotten better at Earthbending since he joined so that's a good thing." Tau explained.

"What about Sorin?"

"Sorin...well he...he's been kind of angry lately." Tau explained.

"Angry? Why?" Nianzu asked.

"Well, just a few days after we got to Whale Tail Island, he got a letter from home. A group of Fire Nation rebels killed his parents." Tau said, looking down at the ground.

"But weren't his parents Firebenders?"

"His dad was. His mom was an Earthbender. It's complicated. His mom had him during the war and his father left her. A Few years after the war ended she met Sozin and they got married a few months later." Tau explained.

"He blames Avatar Aang for what happened, which is why he didn't really wanna talk to you for a while. But he's calmed down about that." Tau explained.

"Just another thing Aang doesn't care about." Nianzu murmured.

"What was that?" Tau asked.

"Nothing...I'll tell you the whole story later. Let's just go get Ryu." Nianzu said.

They went to the Local Police Station to find Ryu. Sadly he was out patrolling so Nianzu and Tau waited at the station. A few hours later Ryu came into the station and immediately recognized the two. Ryu was a young man around Nianzu's age, he always wore a green robe and had short, thick black hair and a handsome face.

"Nianzu, Tau! What are you two doing here?" Ryu asked as he went over to greet his friends.

"We're trying out for the Doughnut Patrol." Nianzu said.

"Oh ha ha ha, very funny, Tau." Ryu said sarcastically, shaking his friend's hand.

"So you master airbending Nianzu?" Ryu asked.

"I'll tell you all later alright. Where does Sorin live? I wanna try to help him." Nianzu asked.

"He's staying at my place until he can get back on his feet. Come on I'll give you a ride." Ryu offered.

They walked outside the station to see a small wagon with two Dragon-Horses attached to the front.

"Nice ride." Nianzu said, "They actually yet young recruits like you drive these things?"

"Yep, get on in." Ryu told them as he opened the door of the wagon. It took about thirty minutes to get to Ryu's place. It was a small house, kind of like Aang and Katara's back in Ba Sing Se. The three friends walked inside to see Sorin sitting on the couch drinking some tea. He had a large frown on his face until he saw Nianzu. Sorin wore a red robe and had long thin black hair, with a small ponytail.

"Nianzu!" he exclaimed as he got up and hugged his friend, "You-You're back! Did you already master Airbending?" Sorin asked.

"Alright, I'll tell you all what happened." Nianzu said. They all sat down in the living room as Nianzu told them what happened back in the South Pole. He told them all about how Avatar Aang betrayed him and how he left him to train himself. He also told them about his new discovery of the Sunachi.

"Wow...I can't believe Avatar Aang would do something like that." Tau said.

"I can! He thought he got rid of all the rebels, but instead they killed my parents. I still don't know why they built that Statue on Avatar Island." Sorin complained as he slouched on the couch.

"Come on, Sorin. You can't really blame him for that. But you can blame him for betraying you, Nianzu! You traveled across the world to find him, and when you did he just left you to train yourself!" Ryu exclaimed.

"Yea...I can't believe it either. But I need a favor from you all." Nianzu asked.

They all agreed to help Nianzu, "Alright, but first you all have to agree with me when I say this: Avatar Aang must die for his treachery." Nianzu said.

"He basically had my parents killed, I'd be happy to help." Sorin said, with a sinister smile on his face.

"He betrayed you, and you're my best friend. Of course I'll help." Tau said with an evil frown.

What about you Ryu?" Nianzu asked.

Ryu looked down to the floor "He did leave us in our time of need..." Ryu said questionably, "You know what? If my friends are with you, then I'm with you too." Ryu said with a smile.

"Great, so here's what I know about the Sunachi..." Nianzu began.

Nianzu and His friends: Tau, Sorin, and Ryu were

Now a team, just like the Gaang was during

the war, and now it was Time for Nianzu

To begin his Master Plan

against Avatar Aang.

"Avatar Aang Must die for His Treachery!"
