Sup nerds I'm alive (sort of) I've had a love for this ship for ages so I wrote I thing... this is a sort of AU and I've used the headcannon that Scarlet is non-binary. =.=
The sun was just beginning to rise over the city's skyline, usually on any other day Scarlet would still be lead in the warmth of their bed, clinging to Sage, their boyfriend.
But it seemed today had other plans as they were currently clinging to the side of the toilet as last nights take out erupted from their stomach.
"Scarlet?" Sage called out from the bedroom. "You ok in there babe?"
Scarlet attempted to catch their breath before giving a breathless reply. "Yes." They threw up again. "No"
Sage slowly opened the bathroom door to find his red haired partner slumped against the wall next to the toilet.
Carefully he scooped Scarlet into his arms and carried him back to the bed.
"I think we both know what caused this.." Scarlet said sarcastically as they glanced down at their stomach.
Soon Scarlets eyes were flooded with tears. "How could this happen Sage. We were so careful!"
"I know Scar." Sage placed one of his hand on top of Scarlets and the other on the side of their face, wiping away the tears with his thumb. "What you wanna do? I'll support whatever decision you make."
Scar looked completely terrified and moved so they had their arms around Sage who pulled his lover close.
"I don't know what to do Sage, what about you would you want, it?"
"Of course I would Scar, having a little you and me toddling about. But only if you're ready." Sage smiled and placed a gentle kiss on Scarlets forehead.
The smaller one smiled and took their boyfriends hand and placed it upon their stomach.
"Hey little one, em, me and your daddy are excited to meet you. We're both scared but we love you so much." Scarlet was crying for a different reason now.
8 months, 3 weeks and 6 later...
"She has your eyes." Sage looked down at his tiny daughter who lay in his arms.
Scarlet lay on the hospital bed, completely exhausted from her birth. "I think she looks more like you, lucky her."
Sage laughed, all he saw was a mini Scarlet.
"Saffron... Saffron David-Ayana. Welcome to the world."
