Tohru stood, breathing heavily in the rain.

Far, far away from him.

She slowly sank to her knees.

Mud parted for her, but closed over her, covering her legs in brown.

She buried her face in her hands.

Water ran rivulets down her cheeks.

Not rain.

She loved him.

So much.

But he wouldn't, couldn't feel the same.

It hurt.

She lifted her face to the sky, searching, searching.

Lightning flashed.

The night grew darker.

She stayed there.

Her sobs died out.

Her eyes grew dull.

What should she care for anymore?

Anything that had meant everything had ceased to exist for her.

He was probably far away by now.

Far away from her confessions.

Up on the mountaintops again.

Training.

Forgetting about her.

Never thinking of her.

Another tear slid down her cheek, mingling with the now salty raindrops dotting her skin.

Another followed.

Her eyes slowly shut.

She wasn't worthy of him.

But she loved him, oh, she loved him.

She fell to the ground.

Mud seeped into her clothes, rain drenched her.

She didn't care.

Everything was nothing, nothing was anything.

She was lost.

She heard heavy breathing.

Twigs cracking.

Then a curse.

Suddenly all the noise stopped.

She didn't look up.

It didn't matter.

The rain had stopped.

Another curse.

Then strong hands, soft hands reached down.

Gently, gently, they picked her up, caressing her as if she was precious, breakable.

They settled her crumpled body against a hard chest.

Where were you?

Someone asks.

I was so worried.

She knows that voice.

She doesn't dare to look up.

She doesn't want the disappointment.

She doesn't have a choice.

Look at me!

The voice shouts.

A hand grabs her chin and turns her head to face his.

His eyes were burning, fiery.

They met hers, dull and brown.

Suddenly his mouth was on hers, he was everything, everything was something and something was anything.

Her eyes lost their dullness.

Her arms wrapped around his neck.

I love you.

His voice was hoarse.

I love you.

She was found.

Hmm, emo at the beginning, happy at the end. I'm making progress, no?
