A/N: This is my first official songfic. It was inspired by Leona Lewis' song of the same title. It came on the radio and my muse got working again. Feedback is appreciated.

It's been the longest winter without you
I didn't know where to turn to

Madison sat on her bed, knees pulled to her chest. "Brandon. I need you. Everyone's dying and I don't think I can do this without you." Madison said. She didn't get a response but she didn't really expect to either. She knew it was crazy to even think he could hear her. He was dead. How could he? She felt the tears well up in her eyes, falling back onto the bed; she curled up under the covers, slowly crying herself to sleep.

See somehow I can't forget you
After all that we've been through

Brandon appeared on the bed, sitting next to her. He ran his finger down her cheek, letting it linger there a little too long. "I'm here Maddie. I'm always here." He whispered. He leaned down, kissed her on the cheek, and faded away.

Going coming thought I heard a knock
Who's there no one

Madison opened her eyes. "Brandon?" She asked but no one was there. No one ever was. She closed her eyes again, missing the ghostly figure of her brother watching her from the shadowed corner of the room.

Thinking that I deserve it
Now I realize that I really didn't know
If you didn't notice you mean everything
