Adamu was up all night. He was preparing for the Mortal Kombat fighting tournament. After his training with Raiden was finished, Raiden called Adamu over. "If you take my place as thunder god, you must take my place in the tournament of Mortal Kombat." Adamu had won nine already. If he won this one, he'd finally be protector of Earthrealm! He was already thunder god, but the other gods told him in order to be protector of Earthrealm, he would have to win ten tournaments. Shinatobe was nicer to Yumi. She let her be a protector of Earthrealm at the start! Still, Adamu did not complain. His son Gekimo walked in. "Dad, what are you doing?" he asked. "Training." Adamu said. "Stop worrying, Dad. It'll be fine." Gekimo said. Adamu took this advice and went to bed. THe next day, he left for the tournament. His first match was against a Saurian named Reptile. "I will defeat you, thunder god!" Reptile yelled. "You wish!" Adamu shot back. The fight began. Adamu shot a huge blast of lightning at Reptile. Reptile flew back. He then shot acid at Adamu. Adamu teleported behind Reptile, zapping him with a quick jolt. He then teleported in the air, surrounded himself in lightning, and spun around and around. "Lightning Drill!" he yelled. It hit Reptile square in the chest. "Finish him!" the announcer yelled. Adamu shot lightning at the Saurian, used it to lift him up, then made him explode! Adamu pulled out his sword and pointed it at the blood. "Too full from eating your words, huh?" Adamu taunted. The announcer yelled, "Fatality!" Adamu went to the roster to see who he was facing next. The name written, was: Scorpion.
