A/N: This fic was inspired by Vex and her own Christmas stories. I didn't want to post it yet because no one was posting holiday fics but thanks to Vex I am confident! Just a little story to put you in the holiday mood.
Little Note to all My Readers: My pen-name has changed. It used to be CSI-Yankee-Fan4Life (author of Finding Hope, Life Goes on, etc). Sorry for the inconveniance. But this way by username is the same on all websites!
It was mid-December, and after quite a warm fall, the weather in New York was turning cold. The residents of city, and those of the tri-state area, bundled up and braved the chilly temperatures to enjoy the holiday activities. However, despite the upcoming holidays and the frigid winds, the first snow had yet to fall.

Shift had just ended at the New York Crime lab. Lindsay was headed to the locker room when an out of breath and overly excited Danny called out her name.
"Montana!" Lindsay stopped mid-step and turned around to see her handsome co-worker headed towards her. "Go get your coat and gloves."
She starred at him quizzically. "Why?"
Danny smiled. "Just trust me." Lindsay nodded in defeat and headed to the locker room. When she emerged, Danny was waiting for her. He offered her a hand and she took it. "Now close your eyes," he instructed.
"But where…" she complained but Danny cut her off.
"No buts. Just close your eyes and trust me." He laughed at her stubbornness. Defeated, Lindsay closed her eyes and let excitement overtake her.
Danny squeezed her hand tighter and began to lead her down the hallway. He guided her up three flights of stairs until he stopped abruptly. "No peeking," he said firmly but Lindsay could feel the smile in his voice. She nodded her understanding and smiled back at him warmly.
Danny opened the door and Lindsay was met by a cold blast of air. She shivered slightly despite her coat and gloves, but the warmth of Danny's hand calmed her. Why they ventured out further outside, Lindsay was surprised to feel a dust of moisture descend upon her that she guessed was, "Danny is it…"
"Open your eyes, Montana," Danny commanded softly and dropped her hand.
Lindsay immediately did as she was told. She gasped in surprise and awe. All rational thoughts raced from her head as she gazed out at the New York City skyline, laced in white. The snow fell at a steady rate and the star-dusted city glistened in white.
"It's beautiful," she managed to comment through her trance.
"Yes, you are." Danny whispered in a bare whisper. His words we only audible because her had moved closer to her side.
This had caught Lindsay's attention and she turned her head to the side, only to meet his lips with hers in a sweet and innocent kiss. "Why all this?" she asked softly when they pulled away. Her words were chosen carefully, as not to ruin the magic of the moment.
Danny laughed softly and gave her a smile. Not the cocky, playful one that he used on a regular basis, but the one soft, loving one that he saved only for her. "I thought you should experience the first New York snowfall in style."
Lindsay smiled brightly and specks of white fell into her hair. No one had ever done anything that sweet for her before. "Thank you, Danny."
"Anything for you, Montana," he winked and wrapped his arm around her shoulders sharing his warmth. She, in turn, laid her head in the crook of his neck. "Merry Christmas, New York style."
