Falling... Falling... That's what I feel. Constantly gaining speed. My eyes constantly wanting to open. Shutting my eyes from the rest of the world. Scared... Scared... Not wanting to lose my mind. I... I stopped falling. I don't feel anything. I... I feel empty... I open my eyes. Open them and scream. At the top of my lungs. The eyes... Dark orange eyes... Why... I look away. I feel my body turn back to the direction of the eyes. Those eyes... They... Blinked?... Now bright blue eyes... How... Blink again... Now dark brown... Almost black even... Blink again... Now misty green...
"You're special..." I hear... It's the voice of a child. "You're scared..." It says again. "Why?" It reminds me of something. "I won't hurt you... I promise."
I wake up shouting and sweat rolls down my face. I'm in a forest. A dark green forest. I look around and I see it. A small necklace. Like a spike or something. I take it. Then a shine comes from it... Like it's calling me. I wear it and it glows again. I see someone with sandy blonde hair. Glasses, brown jacket, black skinny jeans... My eyes open wide... I run to him and slide on my knees next to him.
"Sam! Bro! Wake up!" I shake him. His eyes bolt open and he sits up fast.
"Whoa bro where are we?" He asked.
"I don't even know." I replied looking around. I help him up and start walking towards the path.
"Yo bro! Check this out," he says as he picks something up. It's a gold necklace. Triangular in shape made out of what seems to be metal. He puts it on and starts walking towards me.
"Don't be alarmed," I hear. I look around wondering where the voice came from. "Act normal. Don't let him know you hear me." The voice spoke. "That boy will become your enemy, a threat. To your existence." I was confused by this. How was my best friend a threat? I shrugged it off but doubted Sam a little.
"Bro this is awesome," he said looking at his necklace.
"Let's find a town. I'm starving." I say.
"Yeah me too." We walk down the path and hear something behind us. A weird looking this with leaves coming down from the top of its head down to its feet being about knee height with orange eyes and a snout with a giant hole with no visible lips.
"What is that thing?" I ask. Sam shakes his head and backs up a little accidentally breaking a twin under his foot. The little creature jumps up with a squeak.
"Intruders!" It yells, "Intruders!" It somehow spit what seems to be a hand sized nut out of its snout and hits Sam in the chest.
"Holy shit that hurt!" He yelled. We ran. Didn't look back. Just ran. We ran into a cave but didn't realize anything. Or that the floor was missing. We fell into pitch black darkness. I don't even hear Sam's scream anymore... I don't see him... I shut my eyes tight... Afraid to lose my sanity.
