A/N - Hello, I have not written any stories for a while and this is also my first non-femslash story. I found it in an old journal, it was written in 2010 and is set during the season 1 episode 'Dream on'. I hope you enjoy and please review if you want to.
Artie cautiously rolled into the room. Tina had asked him to meet her in the choir room at lunch, he didn't know why but he assumed she was trying to make up for their earlier argument about the 'dream' assignment Mr Shue had set them (Artie was angry about Tina finding out his dream was to dance). He definitely didn't want a repeat of the crutches incident.
Wheeling himself into the choir room, Artie spotted his girlfriend. Tina was sat on the front row of chairs, dressed in a knee-length black dress with faint purple stripes, deep purple tights, a black jacket and her favourite black boots along with her usual outlandish jewellery. On her lap was her netbook computer, which had a deep purple casing with stickers stuck all over it. Artie approached her and she looked up with a small smile.
"Hey" Artie said, parking up his wheelchair next to her so he could see her computer screen "What are you doing?"
"Just some research on wheelchair ballroom dancing. I thought we could maybe try it...y'know for the assignment?" Tina said softly "It looks really good, like proper dancing, plus it's quite easy to pick up"
Artie watched the screen with interest as Tina replayed the video. It showed 1 able-bodied person and 1 wheelchair user dancing the waltz together, Artie was impressed.
"You really learnt how to do this?" Artie asked and Tina nodded.
"Yeah, a family friend taught me. He actually introduced me to it when I told him about you" Tina said, smiling "Do you want to try it?"
Tina smiled when Artie nodded, she put her netbook away before standing up and starting to teach Artie the basics.
They slowly got the hang of it and after a little while they had learnt a simple waltz, gliding around the room.
Mr Shue walked up the room and saw the couple through the door. Deciding to watch, he smiled.
"I'm glad someone got a dream come true"
