Harry looked back at the girl who had let go of his hand a moment ago. Hermione didn't feel good and Harry knew why. Her feelings for Ron didn't fade away like their friend did. Anger was growing inside of her and but wasn't strong enough to end her love.
Harry's heart was melting every second he looked at her and burning the moment their eyes met. He could hardly breathe while he had been dancing with her to bring a smile to her face. The last chance they had to share a dance with someone was during Fleur's and Bill's wedding. A day that seemed years ago in a different life they couldn't go back to.
He knew nothing would ever be the same again.
It wasn't just them and the world around but they as well had changed too. From day to day they got closer and realized what really mattered to them. Feeling that had never been became real and hurt as much as what could never be.
Harry looked at Hermione once more. Her eyes were filled with tears again and wished to dry them but knew he wasn't the right one. He wasn't who she needed in this moment but he was by her side and would not leave her.
His hand touched hers and he sat quietly next to her. Good friends don't need words to know answers and a man who loves doesn't need to ask at all.
