Calling All Demons
Part One:
Dean? You awake?
Hmmm…
I'm gonna go out. Be back in a little while.
Sam?
Yeah? What is it big brother?
Where are you going?
Nowhere. Be back soon. Get some sleep, Dean. Okay?
(Sam feels guilty about leaving Dean alone, but he needs a break)
Calling all demons.
What?
Nothing. Just…I'll be back soon.
Part Two:
(Dean jolts awake when he feels a cold hand on his burning forehead)
Relax Winchester. You have a high fever.
(sigh) What are you doing here, Crowley?
Your brother asked me to keep an eye on you.
You? He called you?
Well, he said something about your little angel friend not answering.
Gee, that's a shock.
Lie back down and get some sleep. If Sam comes back here he'll kill me if you're not resting.
Wouldn't disobey a demon's orders then.
(Dean turns away from Crowley, not wishing to admit that he's glad he's here)
Crowley? Can I have some water?
Does it look like I'm your British nanny?
Fine. I'll get it myself.
(Crowley starts to get worried when Dean begins to stand, but ends up nearly toppling over if Crowley hadn't of held him up.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. I was only joking.
Well, I wasn't. Now let me go.
No can do, Mr. Stubborn.
(As soon as Dean realizes that Crowley won't let him go, he starts to pout)
Why not?
Because you'll black out, that's why. You just nearly did.
(Crowley pushes Dean slowly back on the bed, slowly because he realizes he's dizzy and likely to throw up soon)
You're scaring me, Dean.
Me? Scaring you? Now I'm impressed.
I'm serious. If you drop dead on me, I'll never forgive myself.
Thought you didn't even like me.
Demons lie, Dean. You of all people should know that.
Yeah, sure.
(Crowley slowly swipes a cool washcloth across Dean's forehead, using his hands soon after)
Thanks, Crowley.
Close your eyes and go back to sleep, Dean. I'll be here when you wake up.
(Dean can't hold back the smile as he drifts off with the demon at his side)
Part Three:
Crowley?
Shhh. He fell asleep a little while ago.
Good. Thanks for taking care of him.
It was my pleasure, Sam.
Well, you can go now.
I promised him I would stick around.
(Demons have to keep promises, and Crowley wasn't about to break one he made with Dean)
I don't think he expects you to.
I promised him. Wouldn't be a good friend if I lied to him now would I?
No. I guess not.
(Sam really wants some more alone time with his big brother, but he realizes that Crowley will not leave his side. So he sighs and sits on the other side of the bed, watching Crowley watching Dean.)
