Korra's POV:

Takes a sip of cactus juice. "What did I do?" I asked myself resting my head in my hand. "Wait, what did I do? What did Mako do, how could he do that and expect me to forgive him?" I took another sip of my drink.

"May I take this seat?" Iroh spoke taking the seat next to me before I could answer.

"I guess you already did." I murmured. "I'm sorry Iroh." I sighed. "It's just that I'm not in the mood right now. I think the only thing keeping me from going into the Avatar State is those people over there." We both looked over our shoulders at the men who were fighting over a game of darts they were tripping and falling over each other.

"What happened my dear? If anything you should be drinking tea." Iroh suggested. "Why don't you enjoy a cup of calming jasmine tea?"

"BECAUSE!" I sighed trying not to explode. "I don't want any calming tea, I just want to forget what happened."

"The best way of forgetting is to talk about it." Iroh said taking a sip of his tea the waiter just brought him.

I sighed, I knew he was right, but I didn't know if I was ready to talk about it. "Well you know how Aang had his own Team Avatar, well now I have my own Team Avatar." I waited to see if he knew what I was talking about, he nodded so I went on. "Well we were going on a mission to track down some equalist, and we headed down to the abandoned warehouse down at the loading docks. We got ambushed and Bolin tried to take them out."

"So far I'm not seeing the problem young Avatar." Iroh said chowing on noodles.

"I didn't get there yet." I hissed. "Anyway..." I faded into a backflash.

Korra's Flashback (Still in her POV):

"Bolin, make sure you don't let them past you!" Mako screamed sending two fire missiles at an equalist.

"I won't." Bolin shouted back to his brother splitting the earth between us, and the equalist having lava in between.

"Guys, we need to get out of here the building is gonna come crashing down any minute!" Asami said trying to stay calm. "I don't know how much-" Nothing came out of Asami mouth after that.

"Asami?" Mako cried spinning around not seeing Asami. "Korra? Where is she? What happened to her?" Mako bellowed.

"I don't know, can't you see I'm a little busy right now?" I yelled surrounded by equalist.

"You're suppose to look out for her, she can't bend, she could get hurt. Have you lost your mind?" Mako questioned getting distracted from what he was suppose to be doing letting an equalist get his electricity-charged glove around his neck.

"Right now it looks more like you lost your mind." I said sending a water whip at the equalist dropping Mako to the ground.

"Huh, thanks..." Mako tried.

"Forget that it even happened." I said turning my attention back to the equalist that were now closer to me. "Bolin I need- AHHHHH!" I screamed in pain one of the equalist standing over me with their electric rod.

"ASAMI" Mako yelled spotting people trying to put her in the back of a van, running out after her.

"Korra!" Bolin tried making his way towards me, but it was too late.

Out of flashback:

"Wait so your telling me that Mako didn't come and save you? But aren't you two like a thing or something?" Sokka asked who I hadn't even realised came in halfway of my story.

"It's complicated." I mumbled.

"Keep going, this story is getting good! What happened next!" Sokka urged reaching into Iroh's bowl of noodles sucking two of them down following it up with my cactus juice.

I glared at him, as he tried to give me my drink back. "Keep it."

Back in flashback:

I woke up in a metal box. "HEY" I yelled. "You better let me out of here, or stuff will go down!" I heard a man laugh.

"We're not that worried Avatar." I man chuckled. "I took your bending away while you were passed out."

"Amon." I growled. "Let me go!" As a child I never thought that the life as the Avatar would be so hard, but I was wrong.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." Amon laughed, walking out of the room slamming the door shut.

Out of flashback:

"Wait? So how did you get out? Is your bending still gone?" Sokka interrupted slurping on more noodles.

"WILL YOU-" I sighed letting out my hot air. "I'm getting there Sokka."

"You know one time Aang couldn't go into the Avatar State." Sokka exclaimed.

"Sokka-" I stopped myself from saying something rude. "Let me finish."

Back in flashback:

"Korra? Are you in here?" Lin Beifong whispered.

"LIN, I'm in here!" I shouted banging on the metal cell.

"Stand back." Lin said folding away the metal.

"Are you okay Korra?" Mako asked standing behind his Chief.

"I would have been if you didn't leave me." I stared him down till he felt like he had to look away.

"If I could take it all back, I would but Asami was in trouble. I didn't really think about you." He immediately regretted what he said.

"You left me alone! A real friend is one who walks in when everyone walks out, not walks out with everyone else."

"I know, but Asami was in trouble." He paused. "I'm truly sorry."

"Where is she?" I questioned looking past the two of them.

"Korra, you need to rest." Lin interrupted.

"I'M FINE!" I yelled pushing past them.

"Korra...wait." Mako's hand brushed against my skin.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I shouted not turning around.

I ran home to Naga slamming my body into her. "You wouldn't leave me right girl?" I questioned my polarbear dog, she excitedly licked my face.

"Korra?" Tenzin asked putting a hand on my shoulder I moved my shoulder letting his hand fall off. "What happened?"

"Nothing. I don't want to talk about it." I said getting onto Naga running off to the water so she could swim across.

Out of flashback:

"That's it, and then I ended up here." I sighed shrugging my shoulders.

"So you don't have you bending?" Sokka asked wide-eyed.

"No, and I really don't wanna talk about it anymore." I looked away from the two.

"Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel, you can't always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you just keep moving, you will come to a better place." Iroh said looking at his cup of tea then he sighed. "You sound like my nephew. Always thinking you need to do things on your own without anyone's support. There is nothing wrong with letting people who love you, help you."

"I would have let him help me, in fact I needed his help!" I said in disbelief. Did he really not listen to my story?

"Korra, I think what Iroh is saying is that-" Sokka stopped trying to understand it himself.

"Think what he is is talking about isn't about me not helping you Korra, but after the fact." Mako spoke standing up from his seat. "He's talking about Lin, Tenzin, and them." Mako motioned to Iroh and Sokka. "Korra I thought you could handle them I-" I stopped him there.

"Have you been listening to me?" I couldn't say any quicker. "I don't want to deal with you right now." I shook my head trying to figure out what was happening.

"Korra?" Mako questioned looking at me not understanding. "I was worried about you. I came here wanting to talk to you."

"Isn't it funny to want something? Knowing you'll never get what you want?" I laughed; jumping off my stool heading for the door, but got stopped when Mako grabbed my wrist. "LET GO OF ME!" I demanded.

"I can't do that Korra, I can't leave you knowing you're mad at me. Korra, don't you understand Asami was in trouble and I thought you and Bolin would be okay."

I stopped and thought about that for a minute changing me expression, Mako smiled. "What if it was your brother who's bending got taken away? Then what?" I asked him pulling my arm away from him as he looked towards the ground.

"I- I don't know." He frowned. "I'm really sorry. You know I love you Korra. But if something happened to Asa-"

"Just stop Mako." I sighed moving a piece of hair out of his face. "I also know you love Asami too; and I also know that Bolin would have been the next person you saved." I thought of what Iroh said to me when I was a kid. "Sometimes the best way to solve your own problems is to help someone else."

"Korra." Mako shook his head in disagreement.

"Until you know what you want Mako, lets just be friends." I smiled and turned to go, but then stopped looking back at him. "I forgive you, and I'm glad Asami is okay I checked in on her." I smiled again. "I'll be leaving for awhile to try and get my bending back, but I hope you'll wait for me. But you should be with Asami now,she needs you more than I do." I turned to go but Mako stopped me. "Mako?" My eyes widened as he leaned in.

"Shh." He smiled gently kissing me. "Of course I will wait for you."
