A/N: Prompt number two: A hero emerges. No, I didn't do it about Ichigo. That just seemed way too easy. Instead I decided to go with someone else, someone who we all least expected (no, not Kanonji, that's too easy too). The main person for this fic is Yuzu Kurosaki. It will take place following various important places in her life, such as her mother's death, birthdays, and so on, so on. I hope you enjoy.
A Hero Emerges
Third Person POV
Yuzu Kurosaki sat in the kitchen with her sister Karin, for once, neither of them were arguing. Jii-san had gone to the hospital to see Ichi-nii and okaa-san. He had said that there had been an accident, and he had been back as soon as possible. They had both just assumed Ichi-nii had broken or something, but they were taking an awful long time to get back.
Eventually their father and Ichi-nii came through the door. Ichi-nii was crying, something neither of them saw very much. Normally he only cried when Tatsuki beat him up again. Their dad pulled them aside, and Ichigo ran past them, sobbing.
"Girls, mommy had an accident today."
And just like that, with a few more worlds added on, their world was shattered.

It didn't take Yuzu long to notice the changes in their family. Karin stopped crying, and began hiding away for hours on end, locking herself in their bedroom. Ichigo never came home, he just sat out by the river and stared at it. And their dad acted like an idiot to try and distract them. Because of that, he, Ichigo and Karin fought all the time.
Yuzu was sick of it. She wasn't angry, just horribly unbearably sad. She knew that okaa-san would never have wanted this. She would have wanted them to get along and be happy.
Ichigo and dad were fighting, and Karin just stood in the corner looking sad. Dinner still wasn't made. The house was a mess.
Yuzu crossed her arms, and jumped onto the counter.
"Be quiet!" he dad and Ichigo stopped fighting, looking at her.
"You think okaa-san wants us to fight? Otoo-san, go to the store and buy food. Ichi-nii, go take a shower you're a mess. Karin-chan, go clean up the living room."
If they weren't going to look after themselves, she would do it for them.
She would make them all smile again.
