"So Sam, is there any other secrets I should know about?" Freddie asked, his finger locked between mine.

I scoffed, "You think I would tell you? Dream on, Benson."

Freddie grinned at me, and I couldn't help but grin back. He makes me happy. "Tell me Sam, or I'll take all your bacon."

I widened my eyes in horror; he was dead serious. My smile disappeared, and I kept my eyes on the floor. I might've had one secret...

"You laugh, I'll punch you in the face," I barked.

Freddie squeezed my hand, "I wouldn't laugh at you Sam, you know me better than that." He smiled sincerely and planted a soft kiss on my forehead.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

I gulped and looked all around until I finally met with Freddie's eager gaze. "I have something I'm afraid of..." I say slowly.

"Sam, you're not going to lose me to Carly,"

I rolled my eyes, "Don't get cocky, Freddifer."

Freddie's eyes locked onto mine, "Then what is it?"

"The dark," I pursed my lips and looked to see that Freddie was actually smiling. "Why are you smiling?" I began to throw back my free hand to punch him, but Freddie grabbed my fist mid-punch and held it close to his chest.

"I think it's cute," he said with a smile.

"More like weak," I muttered. I could feel the heat rise in my cheeks.

"Showing that you can be weak sometimes isn't a bad thing, Sam."

I wasn't really use to the whole soft tender guy thing, and I was sure as glad Freddie could speak the soft guy language. He was basically the only guy I had met that wanted to date me that was actually sweet and romantic. Most of the other guys just wanted to lock lips. No talk at all.

"How could you be so sure?" I could feel my palms beginning to sweat.

"If everyone in this world was too strong, everyone would eventually come crashing down. At the same time. Showing signs of weakness is okay. It shows that you're human. Being afraid of the dark isn't a weakness at all."

"If you say so," I mumbled under my breath.

Letting go of my fist, Freddie pulled me towards his chest, despite my loud whispers of protest.

"I do say so, Princess Puckett." Freddie grinned.

I lazily poked his shoulder, too lovey-dovey-fied to do anything else. "Thanks, Benson."

"Anything for you, Puckett." Freddie replied.
