You cannot be sure of anything these days.
You cannot be sure of the ideas you had as a teenager.
You cannot be sure of yourself.
If someone had asked him 6 years ago what he saw himself doing he would have never answered with:
Waiting at the end of an aisle while wearing a tux and looking at a synagogue full of people.
Most likely his answer would be somewhere along the lines of:
Why worry about the future? As long as I'm writing and living somewhere in southern Europe with a good cigar in my hand, I'm good.
