A/N: My opinion on guys dating advice. Yep, even on Single Awareness month, they're still at it. XD But it was very interesting to hear some of them, but I liked this one better and decided to make a quick one.
"Dude. . ."
"What?"
"Dude. . ."
"What?"
"Dude. . ."
"WHAT?"
"DUDE!"
Luki's eyes snapped up to his best friend's with a scowl, tossing his cell phone across the room at his friend. The tall redhead ducked easily and gave him an incredulous look, flailing his arms. "Dude! Why did you do that for? You could've killed me!"
Luki just sighed hard and began massaging his temples, his blue eyes still tiredly focused on his friend. "Okay, first of all, it would not have killed you. Maybe given you a bruise, if that, but not kill. You're some kind of super powered alien, remember? And second of all, I did that because you wouldn't shut up!" He let his hands drop then as his eyes flared, crossing his arms over his chest. "Now what is it?" he snapped.
Mikio just rolled his eyes and gave his best friend a hard look, his own arms crossed over his chest. "I was just trying to get you to LOOK at me. I mean, for gawd's sake, you've been staring at that little screen for how long now? And on the night of the soccer game, no less. Dude, I'm telling you this because you're my friend. . . you're completely whipped!"
"I am not whipped!" Luki cried defensively. His anger began to cool down after hearing his friend's reason, but he still had an understandable amount of irritation in his brow. "Aria just likes to text is all..." He looked away nonchalantly.
Mikio sighed, shaking his head. "Man, ever since you started dating that girl you just haven't been yourself. For the past twenty minutes I've been watching you sit over there mindlessly giggling at your phone. Whatever happened to bros over h-"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence!" Luki snapped, standing up and pointing a finger at him with a scowl.
Mikio stared at him wide-eyed. "Dude..." He stood up now too, his friend's phone in his hand, and walked over to put his free hand on his shoulder, causing Luki's finger to drop. "Look, I'm sorry. It's just that I think this has gone far enough. You can't let girls control you like that, or they might start to lose interest. If she texts you, don't text back RIGHT that second or you might end up seeming too eager-"
"But I am eager!" Luki exclaimed in defense. Okay, maybe not something he should have admitted, but it's the truth!
Mikio shook his head and sighed. Poor man. . . "You're going at this the wrong way! Chicks don't dig that! You're chasing after her entirely too much. All I'm saying is why not let her do the chasing for a little while? Relationships are all about give and take aren't they? So just don't text her back this time, she won't be able to stop thinking about you, and then we can get back to watching the game tonight. It's a win-win situation! So what do ya say?" He grinned and nudged his shoulder.
Luki stared at him a long moment, his eyes suddenly growing wide, as if struck by an epiphany. "Dude. . ."
Mikio perked up. Maybe he finally got some sense into him! "What?"
He snatched the phone out of his hand and hit send. "You're an idiot," he remarked.
Face, meet palm.
