Disclaimer: I, sadly, am just not awesome enough to own Harry Potter or the Wizarding world. Cry for me, please.
AN: Ok so, after the war, Dumbledore is not dead, Draco Malfoy defected to the side of the light. Not compatible with the epilogue, at all. Rated M just to be safe, and for some of the language.
-I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good…-
Finally, the war was over. Looking at the Slytherin table, only a few grave faces remained.
"Mione," Harry said to get my attention, after the sorting hat was finished.
As Dumbledore took the podium all of the students stopped their conversations, and looked up expectantly.
"As you all know the second Wizarding war has taken a great toll on all of us. None have escaped without some sort of scarring." And boy that was true, I thought as he went on with the classic rules stated every year. "It has also come to my attention that we are all in need of reacquaintance with those around us. The war has changed all of us, and it would be a shame if we were still judged by that person we left behind what seems like so long ago. Therefore we will be having mandatory musical performances starting tomorrow at lunch, to say what is needed when our words desert us, and our actions fall short of providing explanation."
Murmurs around the Great Hall started immediately following this revelation. Some were of befuddlement or even anger, but most expressed quiet delight at this opportunity for self-expression.
I for one was delighted. This was the perfect opportunity for me to show all of Hogwarts that I wasn't the same nerdy little bookworm that they had known in years past. True, I still liked to study and savored knowing helpful facts, but I had really come into my own when it came to letting lose and having fun.
"So, what do you guys think about all of this?" I asked Harry, Ron, and Ginny, gesturing to the front of the room where Dumbledore stood patiently waiting for the discussion to die down.
"I for one think it's a brilliant idea," said Harry, Ginny nodding in agreement.
"I don't know, might be kinda strange but I guess it doesn't sound too bad." Ron added.
As the Golden Trio was having their conversation, a certain blonde Slytherin was feeling very pleased with this idea indeed.
-Mischief managed…-
