A/N: Thoughts from the final scene between Natasha and Hulk. I can't remember what she said exactly, I'll edit it once the DVD is released. Told from the Hulk's point of view.
Home…Away
"Hey, Big Guy. I need you to turn this jet around. We can't track you with Stark's tech…"
Hulk grunts, "Hrmph," Widow. Screen. He peers at the screen with an expression of almost curiosity. He tilts his head. Home to Natasha.
But something deep down stops him. Banner. Snippets drift into his mind. Danger…can't hurt her…not safe…must run…alone…can't go home.
"So turn the jet around and-" her voice fills the small jet. Hulk gazes at her sadly, longingly, and inside Banner is hurting. He reaches up and turns the screen off. And then there was black, and now the Hulk is sad too.
He sits down and looks outside. There's a sad relief in him, it's Banner. Home, he thinks. But a strong thought comes, Away. So he just sits there. And the jet continues farther on. Away from the team, away from his home. Away from her.
