Awww I hoped you all enjoyed The End of Time part two....if you haven't seen it yet don't read this....SPOILERS!

This is how I wished the scene with Rose had ended.

He stood there in the shadows and watched her.

Skin glowing in the moonlight as soft flakes of snow swept past her cheeks.

He was dying. He could feel it. These were his last few moments in this body.

He needed to see her one last time.

His Rose.

The reason for his previous regeneration.

They were connected. Him and her.

But he knew that they wouldn't be in his next regeneration.

Then he would just choose to forget her. Like he did with his other companions.

She wouldn't be his Rose anymore.

He moaned and a sharp pain shot through his body.

He saw her turn to face him.

He leaned against the wall behind him gasping for breath.

"You alright mate?" she asked, her voice carrying on the chilly winter wind.

He looked up and gazed into her wide brown eyes peeking out from under her woolly hat.

He smiled slightly. "Yeah," he answered, slowing his sharp breaths.

"Too much to drink?" she said nodding and smiling back at him.

Oh how he'd missed her. Her voice, her smile, her beauty.

"Something like that," he said shifting against the wall, trying to hold off his regeneration for a moment longer.

"Maybe it's time you went home," she said, tilting her head and trying to peer through the shadows at him.

He turned his head slightly, moving further into the shadows. As much as he wanted to hold her and hug her and kiss her he knew he couldn't. He couldn't even risk her seeing him properly.

"Yeah," he choked out, unable to say anything else.

She scrutinised him for a moment before speaking again.

"Anyway, Happy New Year," she said turning to go.

He needed more time with her. Their last moments together. For him at least.

"What year is this?" he shouted.

She span back around and grinned. "Blimey, how much have you had?"

He grinned too, but she didn't see it. "Well?"

"2005, January 1st," she said quietly.

"2005," he repeated slowly, his mind whirring.

Rose nodded.

"Tell you what," he said unable to cover a grand smile appearing at his lips, "I bet you're going to have a really great year."

Rose smiled back at him. His hearts melted.

"Yeah?" she grinned, raising her eyebrows.

The Doctor said nothing but continued to stare at her. Her eyes lingered on his shadowed face, before she tore herself away with one last glance at him. "See ya."

His eyes filled with tears as she ran through the ever falling snow, towards the doors to her block.

His hearts broke.

He watched her through a watery blur.

A pain tore through him, and he gasped but continued to watch as she climbed the stairs.

Before she moved out of sight, the Doctor clutched at his hearts and managed to choke out five final words.

"I love you, Rose Tyler."
