The Dark Lord had been soundly defeated, his horcruxes hunted and destroyed, then he himself was killed. He came to on a train platform startlingly similar to Platform Nine and Three Quarters. The shards of his soul came back together as one as he awaited his final journey, thinking back to all his failures and foiled plans. In a sudden moment of clarity the Dark Lord realize just how much he fucked himself by making horcruxes. The soul is not only what gives a body life, it also holds the magical core. By dividing his core he had made himself exponentially weaker, as well as driving himself insane. He had paid such a high price to become immortal, and it didn't even work out in the end. Voldemort scowled, it just wasn't fair. Maybe he should have taken a different approach. Oh how much he wanted to go back and change what he had done, maybe with his knowledge he might have prevented his own fall. Funny thing about wishes in the world of magic.
A train going the opposite direction pulled into the station. Voldemort started at in shock not actually expecting this. If this was what he thought it was, he might just get his wish. If it wasn't, it couldn't be any worse than the place he should be going for rending his soul into pieces. So he got on the train, a train that instead of going back to the living, went far into the past. Now all he had to do was find his younger self, stop him from making that damned horcrux, and find some other way to control the magical world. It was time to revise the plan, and hopefully this time not be stopped by a bloody child.
AN: Hello there readers! This is not a full chapter, so don't worry about me only posting 300 word chapters every couple of months. I felt kinda bad about the wait so I decided to take the Prologue of the other story I had jumping around in my head and post it so you had something to chew on and get excited about while I work. Just to be clear, THIS IS A TEASER NOT A FULL CHAPTER! I will update this later on after I post the second chapter of A Dark God, which I wrote this morning by hand and haven't typed yet.
