Lost Minuet
You just walked away
Without saying a word
As if nothing has happened,
It's like an empty world.
I raise my voice and sing
A lost melody that was forgotten.
I try to smile and dance
The lost dance we danced before you were gone.
Memories have drifted
And not a single note has been sung.
You just came and went away,
Like the setting sun.
My feelings have gone past
And a thousand tears have been shed.
My heart has closed in,
Now I can't sing.
I bow down and pray
That I might see you again.
Without you, I've been so lonely.
My world's been crumbling to dust.
I raise my voice and sing
A prayer directed to God.
I try my best to dance
So He'll bring you back.
I've been so lost without you.
It's like living with no food or water.
You're like the air that I breathe.
