"Ferb! Pull the lever!"
"What? But-"
"Just pull it!" Phineas shouted, turning to his brother. "If we're going to do this, we need to do this NOW!" He stared at Ferb, his eyes desperate.
Ferb turned towards the others, visibly upset. He sighed and put his hand on the lever of the machine.
"Phineas! What are you doing? " Isabella's voice cried though the harsh wind.
"You'll have to find us! I have a code on the computer-" The portal shrunk a little. "You have to crack it! We'll find a way back, but we have to-we have to stop them!" He yelled, his voice cracking. Tears filled his eyes, an uncommon occurence for the ever-optimistic Phineas Flynn.
"Phineas! I have to tell you! I have to tell you something important!" Isabella yelled frantically.
Ferb's hand pulled back the lever.
Phineas locked eyes with her for a moment. There was a blinding white light, and they were gone.
The three left where they were, in that stange labratory, stared at where the portal had been in a morbid silence.
Isabella broke the silence with a heart-wrenching sob.
"No..." Isabella collapsed. " How are we supposed to find them? What computer? How did- how did this day go so wrong?What-what-" She covered her hands with her face, her body shaking with shock and sobs.
Buford and Baljeet had been standing in the corner, quietly observing.
It had, in fact, started like every other day.
The sun had been shining brightly that morning, and it was just the right temprature, not to hot, not too cold, the perfect early-summer day.
Phineas was, as usual, sitting under the tree in the Flynn-Fletcher backyard.
" None of these blueprints really seem interesting enough for such a perfect day,"Phineas said, throwing a blueprint over his shoulder. " I can't believe I'm out of good ideas again. Last time this happened, there ended up being three of me- that was what, two years ago now? Wow." Ferb stared at him.
" Augh...Don't bring THAT up. That was terrible." Ferb said, scratching his head.
The gate swung open, and Isabella entered the yard.
"Hey Phineas, Whatcha doin'?" She smiled widely.
Phineas blushed a little, but turned away until it faded.
"Nothing yet," He turned back and responded. "Do you have any ideas?" he stared up at her.
"No, sorry, Phineas." She sat next to him." We could just talk," She said, scooching a little closer to him. " It's been awhile since we just talked, hasn't it?" She smiled wider, moving a bit closer to him. He blushed again.
Buford came bursting into the yard, dragging baljeet behind him. Isabella sighed in exasperation. So close.
