SoulClan Challenge: Why Me?
Rabbitclaw, a simple clan cat, was being framed. Again. By a stupid little apprentice, Treepaw. The kit of the leader.
Many cats had done this to him, despite him being the one to try to stop it. No one would listen, no one would care.
Anger endlessly stirred within him, growing day by day, since he was a kit. Anytime he wasn't set-up, he would always be ignored. He could even threaten to kill the leader, and no one would notice. As said, no one would care. They would pay.
"Rabbitclaw, mind explaining why you ate prey while on hunting patrol?" Sliverstar asked, anger barely hidden behind their face. Rabbitclaw hated the leader the most.
The leader antagonized him, over and over, even if he knew who actually did it. Oh, he hated him with a burning passion. He wished he could just sink his claws into that corrupted leader's face, and to make him pay. As an added bonus, it would be great to kill that apprentice. The spoiled apprentice, the one everyone loved oh-so dearly. No one really even followed a code in the clan anymore.
"It was Treepaw. Not that you'll listen." Rabbitclaw taunted. He didn't care how the leader felt. Rabbitclaw's thoughts began to repeat "Kill...Kill...Kill..." over and over inside his head.
"Why do you insist on antagonizing Treepaw, is there something you're hiding?" Sliverstar was also getting quite annoyed, having to hold down his anger only because he was the leader of the clan.
"Maybe if you paid more attention to the apprentice's actions, you'd be able to have the brains to know he was the one breaking the code." Ribbitclaw growled, as many cats began taking notice, watching the two.
"Rabbitclaw, are you trying to start a fight? It sure seems like it." Even Sliverstar began to growl, and the clan cats drew near. Rabbitclaw knew his demise was near. There was no turning back. This was it, this was what he wanted.
Rabbitclaw answered with a swing of an unsheathed paw. It hit across Sliverstar's muzzle, earning a yowl from him. Sliverstar immediately swiped back, barely hitting Rabbitclaw, only hitting the fur. Warriors were already moving in on Rabbitclaw, but he wanted to take out Sliverstar, even if it was the last thing he'd do. He lept forward, sights on Sliverstar's neck.
He bit down, feeling the warm, sticky liquid on his teeth. Bitting down hard, he held on until he heard a snap. The leader had died. He saw the warriors leap at him from the corner of his eye. He held his grip on the leader's neck, wanting to take the last life before he died. Pain hit him everywhere, and it wasn't long at all until he blacked out.
He was dead, and so was the leader.
His goal was reached.
