Destiny

Disclaimer: Don't own Harry Potter. Never have, never will.

The kicking, the shoving, the name-calling. You know it's going to happen, every single day of your life.

You don't know what you've done wrong. Is it really that wrong to love the same gender?

People confuse you. You never understand what's going on with them.

They hide who they truly are, or change to be someone else because it will please the people around them.

The bullying is so harsh, it drives you to depression.

You want to kill yourself, to hurt yourself - but you're too weak to even do that.

All you do is ask 'why'. Why are you hurt like this every day?

Those people who do it - what reasoning do they have behind it?

Is it possible that they're like you? Gay? Or are they just pure evil?

No, they're not just evil. That's impossible; no-one's just evil, you think to yourself.

One day, you're in such a bad place, you're not looking where you're walking.

As you crash into someone, making the both of you fall over, you expect them to stand up and start punching you. Beating you.

But... there's a hand. What is the person doing?

You look up and there's a warm smile on the boy's face, an apology on his lips, a hand offering to help you up.

And that's the day your whole life changes.

It's a whirlwind of goodness, suddenly - not perfect, because nothing ever is, but close enough.

You and he are happy, together, out. Not as many people seem to care - probably because of his reputation. Because he's Scorpius Malfoy.

For three years, you're fine. In love.

Of course, nothing goes right. Not for you. Because nothing ever does and nothing ever will.

Because one day, out of nowhere... he tells you something.

A small something - but it matters so much.

'I never loved you. I dated you for your fame.'

Scorpius Malfoy, love of your life, says to you. Because your father is Harry Potter, and you're named after 'the greatest headmaster ever'.

So now the Malfoy is famous because of you and you're known as... what?

The Boy Who Was Lead Along.

The Gullible One.

And now... it's even worse. You're laughed at, mocked. People ask you out on dates and then laugh in your face when you get hopeful.

And it's just horrible. No-one tries to help you through it - well, your cousins and siblings try, but they never succeed.

You only need one thing.

For Scorpius to tell you it was a joke and, of course, he loves you.

But that will never happen.

So now things are worse than before. The bullying, the pressure... everything.

Then that day comes along.

Scorpius beats you. And you know, then, what you have to do. What you've always known you had to do. At least some day.

Because the second you were born and the second you started to notice other guys... that was when your destiny was foretold.

So you follow it, to the letter.

And when your body is found at the bottom of the Astronomy Tower next morning - ironically, where your namesake's lay - few tears are shed.

No-one cares.

And it's just destiny.

A/N: Yikes. I don't know what this is. It's depressing. If anyone has depression or anything, it will get better, I promise you. You'll find the right someone. And if you've lost someone to suicide, then I'm so sorry and I meant no offence by this. But you'll pull through.
