Ages ago I read online a challenge (feel free to do it yourselves if you want, its great to dust off rusty muses like mine) that went something like this:
Pick a piece of music and write a drabble/ficlet in the time it takes for the piece of music to finish. When the music is done, you're done.

So, I did it. Here, and under the Nightwing category drabble, "Mourning Morning".

Summary: Bruce's stream of consciousness while cloud watching.
Disclaimer: Not mine. DC's. Considering the current situation after R.I.P., this comes under Fair Use.
Rating: GMusic: Canon in D, by Johann Pachelbel.
Time: 6:16 Minutes
Words: 227
Warnings: Unbeta'd, which is kinda the point. Raw stream of muse.
Notes: So recently I got out one of my classical cds and did the challenge myself. This is one of the (I think) better results... Tell me what you think!

CLOUD WATCHING

It's quite relaxing lying here on the grass, staring up the clouds. Not that I would ever admit it, either to Alfred or to Dick, both of which had connived and conspired together to drag me out of a board meeting and then out of the house and down here. Deceivers and liars the lot of them.

Oh well.

It isn't like I could do anything about it now.

And I am kind of stuck here.

Oh, look, frog.

Well, frog-dragon.

Strange animal, anyway.

Anyway, they were both of them evil for this. Planning against me like that. I should plan some sort of...payback. That was it. Payback...

"Oh, I see. Yes Dick, I agree that looks like your classmate."

"Your classmate drinking slime? No, I don't think so."

"Really."

"Really really."

Now, where was I?

Oh yes. Payback.

It should be...elemental. No doubt that it was from me and why.

I think I should spring it on them as soon as possible.

"Yes Dick, that looks like the Joker. I think he's with Harley's hyenas."

I also think I shall give Dick a day of waxing my vehicle collection. That should suffice.

As for Alfred... Hmm. I can see that this shall require some thought.

"No, I can't see the bananas."

Maybe the vehicle idea isn't enough for Dick.

Ah well. At least it looks like I will be here long enough to come with something...appropriate...
