Got It Memorized?

There he stares sadly at the red river despair,

As red and untamable as his wild hair.

Tears rolled to the diamonds under each of his eyes,

Which made him stop and wonder how a nobody could cry.

Then up from the ground came the dusks at his feet,

He knew they were coming, this fight would be sweet.

They knocked him down once, his face in the sand,

That was what he got for love, a wanted man.

Dusks disappeared and there he lies, too depressed to see,

The blonde that hovered over him, oh my, could it be?

His eyes slowly opened, ready to face defeat,

What he saw was his true love, standing at his feet.

Helping up the red head, the blonde begged to ask,

"Why risk your life with such a meaningless task?"

The red head he looked in the shorter blonde's eyes,

"Your love is worth the risk. Got it memorized?"
