In the Arms of an Angel
A Third Naruto OneShot by Uzumaki Fenix
He raced through the streets as fast as he eight-year-old legs could carry him. He knew that they were closing in on him and he knew what they would do to him when they found him.
He soon raced into the forest that surrounded the village. He knew this forest better than anyone from having to hide from the angry villagers for so long. After making sure that he was far enough away, he stopped at the base of one of the giant roots of a giant oak. He sat down, hugged his knees, and cried.
He didn't know how long he had been there, for the next time he looked up, it had started to snow. He started shivering and soon was shivering uncontrollably. His torn and shredded clothes did nothing to keep out the cold. His tears were frozen to his face and his cheeks were burning. His blond hair was cold and wet.
He somehow managed to stand on his frozen legs and managed to walk through the foot deep snow. He crossed his arms, hoping not to freeze.
After so long of walking, with the snow blowing hard in his face, he collapsed and everything went dark.
His eyes opened slowly, blinking in the bright light. He looked around and saw that he was in a beautiful garden filled with flowers of all kinds, waterfalls, and streams. The sun was soft and warm. He soon spotted a beautiful lady with long blackish-blue hair and lavender eyes. Her skin looked soft and it seemed to glow. She wore a white flowing dress. Her lavender eyes were kind and warm. On her back were a pair of beautiful white wings. On her head was a crown of pale lavender roses.
"Are…Are you an angel?" the boy asked. The woman nodded. "Where am I?" the boy asked.
The woman spoke with a voice that sounded like beautiful bells. "You are in my Garden. The Garden is where young children go when it is not yet their time. You will be going back soon after you rest." She handed him a cup of water from a small waterfall. "Drink."
The boy took the cup and drank. When he was finished, he handed it back to her. She held it in her hand and it disappeared. Then she pulled out a bowl of ramen. She handed it to him and he slurped it down vigorously. He set it down next to him and watched as it, too, disappeared. He looked back up at the woman. "What is your name?" he asked.
She smiled. "Akina. Hyuga Akina. What's yours?" (A/N Akina means 'A spring flower')
"Naruto. Uzumaki Naruto."
"Well, Uzumaki Naruto, it is time for you to go back."
"Will I ever meet you again?" Naruto asked.
"You will meet me again sooner than you think. I promise." The last part was just a faint whisper as the scene faded as did Akina.
Naruto opened his eyes. He looked around and discovered that he was in a cave with a blanket. Nearby was a small fire that cast a pretty glow on the walls.
"Oh! You're awake!"
He turned his head and saw her walking in. "Akina?" he asked.
The girl shook her head as she sat next to him. "Akina was my mother's name. She died a couple months ago after my sister was born. What's your name?"
"Naruto. Uzumaki Naruto. What's yours?"
The girl smiled and blushed. "Hinata. Hyuga Hinata."
Anyways, I was bored, so I decided to write this! I always wondered how Naruto and Hinata first met… I hoped you liked it! If you did, please review!
