Traitor? Heh. How could you betray something you were never loyal to begin with? I have been called one by the Dominion, the Confederation and the UED. And they will not be the last. All those time they thought I was loyal to them. I was in fact being loyal to only once force in this universe. The one true force in the universe. They who set everything into motion so long ago. Those who set the great experiment to create the perfect species . . ..
It is a pity that the Overmind failed to assimilate the Zerg, and that Kerrigan now controls the Broods. She has no ambition for the Zerg's mission for genetic perfection, only revenge against her enemies and maintain and/or expand her power base. Of course, her becoming one with the Zerg DID have it's benefits, a human physic, absorbed into the Swarm, a control group life form, who with proper selection could have power that could equal those of the First Born. Is it any wonder my master after a brief debate decided to add human DNA to the design of the hybrid as well?
True, we've lost two. The one Zeratul distorted, and the one atomized in that nuclear blast by Rainor's old comrade in arm who took to the star to distract Minks. But there are dozens where they came from. The pinnacle of all our millinas of work and effort and experimentation.
Kerrigan serves her purpose for now in keeping the other forces in this section of the fringe of the galaxy at bay. And when her purpose is out lived, I wonder if I will be the one to terminate her, or will the human Rainor beat me to it? Who knows except perhaps my masters?
Araq of the Jormungand Brood the last Cerebrate alive, and the one who oversaw Kerrigan's rebirth into the Swarm suspects that I am not to be trusted, and to even let me within shooting distance of his queen is too much of a risk. He does not matter. Even though I feel that he would kill me in an instant if he felt he could hide it from his queen somehow. Not that he can hide anything from her. If I didn't know better, I'd say Araq was actually jealous of me and the attention Kerrigan shows me. Heh, what a fitting mate the bloated Caterpillar would make for the Queen of Blades. We will need someone perhaps to keep the Zerg in line until they are not needed. Perhaps with proper prodding Araq could be persuaded. All Cerebrates are weak willed. It should be a simple matter. Then again, Araq was proven quite autonomies in the past, he did not join with Daggoth to make the short lived new born Overmind, he went search for his queen, the one who he had been brought into existence to protect. Is it any wonder Kerrigan spared him?
Oh well, these reflections are meaningless anyway, once my Master decide it is time, and the Zerg Protoss hybrids are awakened, the experiment will enter it's final stage.
