A/N: So this is the first of many Next-Gen drabbles. May not be terribly romantic, but some will.
Reviews are rather wonderful.
How Bright The Sun Shines
Teddy Lupin
Teddy hated chocolate.
Most people thought it was strange, because it was his father's favorite food of all time or something. Besides, it was chocolate, who could hate chocolate? It was the thing used to bribe small children, something to pick you up when you were feeling sad.
Okay, maybe hate was the wrong word.
Teddy had only had chocolate once, and that was the day he offered some to Victoire, found out she was allergic, and watched her pass out after ingesting one tiny bite of the confectionary treat. After that, Teddy wasn't so keen on chocolate.
It was also the reason for his current annoyance.
So there was this guy right? No big deal, almost every boy at Hogwarts liked Vic. What was a big deal was that he was grinning, offering Victoire a chocolate something, and she was smiling kindly, accepting his gift, and then returning to her conversation with James about why it is not okay to trip people in the hallway, even if it was a dare, because they would get mad at you, and yes, she did understand that it was probably an overreaction to hex him purple, but really, he did make the poor girl drop her bag down the moving staircases, and it did take a half hour to get it back, and she was late for charms.
The thing was, the guy was still standing there, grinning.
Teddy started to get nervous. Did this guy expect her to eat it? He did know that she was allergic, right?
Maybe not, because right then, the idiot said,
"Ya gonna eat it? It's wicked good."
Victoire turned around from trying to fix James's plum complexion, and stared at the prat for a moment. She opened her mouth to say something, but that was the moment that Teddy decided to jump in.
"She's allergic, you git."
That was all he said. He didn't understand why this made The boy exceedingly angry or why Victoire was shaking her head at him now, not James, and why the boy was hurling words at him like knives, and why he was raising his fists, and why Vic was on her feet now,- and then it hit him.
Literally.
ten minutes later, the boy was gone, and it was just he and Victoire up in his dorm room.
"You know," Vic said, ever the diplomat. "Calling him a git was rather insulting, and there really was no way that he could know I was allergic, so the punch was understandable, (Not justified, mind you.) and you should really not go around expecting people to-"
Teddy decided it was time to cut Vic off before she got started with her reasoning and her lectures.
So he did the one thing that seemed sensible at the time.
He leaned in.
A/N: That's all folks! Please don't favorite or alert without reviewing, because I love reviews, nice or not.
