Strike of the Tiger
Chapter 1
When Rexan woke up, he felt unusually small. And furry. He tried to call his butler but all that came out was his battle cry. His battle cry was the roar of a tiger and had won him the nickname of Tigerstrike-
A tiger?
Immediately he jumped up. 'I sound a lot like a tiger,' he thought, 'that's not right.' And so the great Jedi bounded out of the window and ran. He heard a laugh behind him that he recognised; he didn't like it one bit. La… La… Lana! The name came to him and he stopped in his tracks. He reached for his lightsaber, only to find a coat of sleek, velvety orange and black fur.
"You did this, sister." He growled
"What was that? You want some cat food?" sneered the tall, dark brown haired girl. She had sky blue eyes that were deep and hypnotic. To be honest, Rexan could only describe her as pretty. Evil, but pretty, this was why his padawan, Yrestes, had fallen in love with her.
He spoke now; "Wha-?" there was dazed look in his eye: he did not quite understand what had happened. Rexan roared and something dawned on Yrestes' face, he turned to Lana. "I may love you, but you will pay for what you have done to Rexan." He drew his two lightsabers and ignited their blades, they were bright gold and green, he used his mind to control the other black blade. He had got the nickname Triblade from his three sabres, as Rexan had got the nickname Tigerstrike from his Tiger like qualities.
"Aah. You wouldn't do that. I have some nice little friends of yours hidden away. If I die, they die."
Rexan thought about this. She must have been lying or talking to Yrestes as the word 'friend' wasn't really in his vocabulary.
Suddenly, something Yrestes had once said to him came to mind. It had been something about some clan cats or something like that. Oh, and someone else, another cat. He said that this cat had the power to help them if they were ever in grave danger. His name? Varjak Paw. Rexan used his power of communicating to animals to call out to this mystical cat.
Chapter 2
Echowhisper felt the sound before she heard it, not that she could have heard it anyway. Lana was an assassin and wasn't really going to be detected by cats if Rexan Claw couldn't detect her.
