Lavender glanced at the girl sitting to her right. She flashed Lavender a small smile before returning to her magazine, The Quibbler. Lavender preferred to read Witch Weekly, but part of her couldn't help being just a little curious about Luna's magazine. She knew Harry had given The Quibbler an interview last year. Part of her knew her interest wasn't really the magazine, but rather the girl reading it. She had come looking for Luna on the train and sat next to her.

"Anything interesting?" she finally asked. Luna looked up with wide eyes.

"Not really, it's a slow news week. Although one of the readers submitted a really cute picture of some baby nifflers. Want to see?" Lavender smiled at Luna's excitement. She loved the way the younger girl's face lit up.

"Sure!" She scooted closer to Luna as the pair ohhed and awwed over the picture.

"They like shiny things, nifflers."

"You know a lot about animals don't you?" Luna nodded. Lavender watched as her hair bounced around her face. Her fingers brushed against her bag and Lavender remembered the other reason she'd come looking for Luna.

"It's just, I saw something, weird over winter holiday, and I was wondering if maybe, you might be able to tell me what it was?" Lavender asked biting her lower lip slightly. It had been hard to slow her speech so the words didn't come out all jumbled. Luna had that affect on her.

"I can try. What did it look like?" Lavender reached into her bag.

"I sketched it as soon as I could. I think it's a pretty accurate to what I saw." She pulled a sketch book from her back and flipped to a bookmarked page.

Luna looked over at the sketch marveling at how well Lavender could draw. She'd never know that about her before.

"It looks almost like a wurm. How big was it?"

"Smallish, about the size of a cat. It could fly though."

"Wurms are related to dragons. Where did you see it?"

"On holiday, I had hiked up to Kostels Cliff to clear my head and there it was. At first I thought it was a snake, but then it ran up a rock and took off."

"Sounds like a wurm, although I've never seen one myself. You could show the picture to Hagrid, he would know for certain," Luna suggested.

"I'll take your word for it being a wurm." Lavender blushed slightly as a thought flitted through her mind.

"Want to come home with me over Easter break and see if we can find it? I mean, if you've never seen one before..." Lavender's blush deepened as Luna looked at her. "I mean, if you want." Luna smiled before nodding.

"I would love to!"

Lavender returned her smile.
