---

You hold yourself above me, as if you are somehow superior.

But you're not. We are more alike than different, and you know it.

I only did what I thought I had to do to save my family.

Now you do the same.

Desperation does strange things to a man. Morality is forgotten; lines in the sand shift dramatically.

You bring out your trump card.

Mine was a threat to Jeannie Miller.

Yours is a young father, and an adorable little girl.

A family.

I barely hear your words as they rightfully lay blame squarely on my shoulders, and I know what I must do.

For while you and I are cut of the same cloth, John Sheppard, and both of us have crossed every line in order to save the ones we love, there is one monumental distinction between us.

My family is gone.

Yours is not.

I have no reason to live on, but I can still make a difference.

I can save one woman, and one family.

It is my choice.

And I make it willingly.

You didn't have to convince me, Sheppard, but it's nice to know that my actions are understandable.

To those like us.
