Ryna Mendez loved to swim. Everyday after her shift at the local drug store she walked down her road to the bay and dove in the water. She loved to collect shells and other treasures she found there.
On one late summer afternoon the beach was oddly secluded as she dove in the water. She closed her eyes and pushed her way through the cool clear water down to the bottom. She loved the feel of the cool refreshing water on her sticky skin and it was the most relaxing feeling. Here in the blue calm water she was at peace. When she opened her eyes she was at the sea floor. She quicky looked for a souvenir she could take home with her before she ran out of breath. That's when she saw it. It was the most beautiful multicolored shell she had ever seen. She swam closer to grab it when she realized it glowed with the strangest shade of green. The glow made it even more beautiful. She reached closer and closed her hand around it. But as she grasped it in her hand the sand beneath her began to cave in and suck her into the sea floor like quicksand. She couldn't help by let a cry of fright. As she did that she let in a gulp of air and new she was gonna drown. The sand continued to suck her down and now she was in complete darkness gasping for air however she could no longer feel the sand or water around her. She continued to swim through the nothing not noing what direction she was going in just knowing she had to try to move. She grew tired and knew she could no longer keep swimming. She closed her eyes and drifted into unconsciousness..
When Ryna woke she was in a bed. Golden light was lighting the room she was in. She tried to sit up slowly and looked around. The room had 2 walls forming a corner and where there should have been the other 2 walls was just pillars and translucent white curtains. On the other side of the curtain was a balcony and beyond that the most beautiful few of a waterfall and mountains. Down below was other buildings similar to the one she was in along a river. It was the most beautiful place she had ever seen.
