Author's note: This is just a quick little one-shot that came to mind while listening to Pandora. I hope you all like it!

Friday has always been date night, even before they got together romantically. So, when Maura suggested that they go out for karaoke after work on Friday Jane was surprised, normally they went to dinner and came home to watch movies and cuddle. After a few beers for Jane and a couple glasses of wine for Maura they were starting to feel the buzz, so when the dj called last call for karaoke sign ups Jane got up. As the music started to play Maura blushed, she recognized the song immediately.

I will never find another lover sweeter than you,

Sweeter than you

And I will never find another lover more precious than you

More precious than you

Girl you are close to me you're like my mother,

Close to me you're like my father,

Close to me you're like my sister,

Close to me you're like my brother

You are the only one my everything and for you this song I sing

Jane stepped off the stage and walked towards Maura with a sway in her hips. She never broke eye contact with the blushing ME.

And all my life I've prayed for someone like you

And I thank God that I, that I finally found you

All my life I've prayed for someone like you

And I hope that you feel the same way too

Yes, I pray that you do love me too

Maura couldn't help but stare into Jane's love filled eyes as she sang to her. While she wasn't normally fond of public displays of affection she got up and swayed with Jane as she sang. Dancing together as one, oblivious to all the people staring at them.

I said you're all that I'm thinking of, baby

Said, I promise to never fall in love with a stranger,

You're all I'm thinking of, I praise the Lord above,

For sending me your love, I cherish every hug,

I really love you

They swayed together until the song was over, when they finally separated the other patrons in the bar erupted in applause for them.

"Here goes nothing." Jane mumbled under her breath much to Maura's confusion. Jane bent down onto one knee and pulled the velvet box from her back pocket. She had been trying to find the perfect time to do this and had yet to find one more perfect than now.

"Maura Dorthea Isles, will you do me the pleasure of becoming my wife?" Maura stood there with her hand over her mouth for a long minute, totally taken back. She was finding it hard to get the words to come out of her mouth, all she could do was nod as the tears in her eyes finally spilled over. Jane stood up and put the ring on Maura's left hand before they patiently kissed, forgetting about all the people around them.
