Sylvester walked into the clinic and up to the reception desk, not in the least bit calm. He was nervous yet excited, because he was finally getting another date. He walked down the hall to Megan O'brien's room, and knocked confidently on the door. As he waited for her to open the door, he reflected on his new found confidence.
She helps me express myself, he thought.
Megan opened the door and Sylvester jumped slightly, havig been lost in thought about his current engagement.
"Oh boy, you are very excitable today aren't you?" Megan remarked with a slight smirk on her face, closing the door behind her. "What do you have planned for me?"
"I was thinking we could go to the zoo. . . . If that's alright with you," he grinned at his rhyme, already feeling more comfortable with her. He glanced over at her, her infectious smile intoxicating him. She really had a way with people. It was impossible for him not to fall for her!
"Sounds good to me,"she replied. "What is your favorite animal to see at the zoo?"
"Oh the dolphins, for sure. You know, some people say that the dolphins are more intelligent than humans. Well, some humans . . . I like to think I'm smarter than the average dolphin." He put his arm around her waist as they walked out. She smiled up at him as he hailed a cab.
Sylvester got out of the cab and walked around to the other side, opening Megan's door and helping her get out. They walked up to the gate together, and he payed the entrance fee for both of them.
"Thank you," she said, laying her head on his shoulder while he was getting change.
"My pleasure," he replied. He followed her through the gate, then walked over to a map trying to decide what to go see first. "You wanna go see the primates first?" He asked, analyzing the layout of the zoo and trying to calculate the most efficient way to see the entire zoo.
"How about . . . we just walk," she said, laughing at his thinking face. She loved that face.
"That's okay I guess." He smirked at her and began walking. He wished he could her hand, but because of her crutches it made it impossible. "I'll let you lead the way."
