This story is about…well, anyone. Just showing what happens when you mix gangs, crime, and love in a big city. So don't hate me, because I've never written anything like this before.
The blood-red moon rose into the dark sky. His footsteps made no noise as he walked through the alley. Sirens wailed, and cars rushed by in the streets. A light rain fell upon the dimly-lit city. He took no notice. He just continued to walk through the shadows.
She ran. Their voices were getting louder. She gasped, turning sharply around a corner. She slid, falling into the mud. She felt the bulge of money in her pocket, and suddenly, their leering faces surrounded her. She tried to scream, but a thick hand clamped over her mouth. She struggled, but then she saw a flash of silver, and her heart plummeted.
He moved faster, coming out on the wet sidewalk. Head down, he slipped through the small crowd, brushing against people, muttering apologies. He was finally able to turn, and walk through another alley.
She kicked out blindly, her heart beating faster, faster. After they had taken all the money she had, they came to a decision. The leader of the gang nodded and raised the silver gun, its surface reflecting the fear in her pale face.
His head jerked up as he heard the gunshot. He ran through the maze of dark alleyways, searching for the source of the sound. He turned a corner, sliding to a stop.
And his heart was pierced by a thousand blades as he saw her lying there. He heard their cruel laughter, saw their mocking smiles. He pulled out a dagger, stolen from a museum, his hand shaking as he moved towards them. They stopped laughing, and began to despair. His heart beat in time with his slow steps. The gang slowly turned tail and ran. He dropped the dagger and crouched down beside her bloody, broken body. He whispered her name, over and over again, in hope she would awake. Of course, he was wasting her breath, for she was dead. He let tears trickle down his already-wet cheeks. Finally, he came to an internal decision. With shaking hands, he gripped the dagger, and took a deep breath.
There was a flash of silver as the dagger plunged through the air, burying itself deep into his already-broken heart. His body collapsed on hers, the rain washing the blood from their bodies. Cars still rushed by, but no one would ever find the two lovers. And the blood still covering their entangled bodies reflected the blood on the moon.
Hope you liked it. I might start writing more in this style, but you never know. Anyways, I can't wait to write more, so look for even more stories this year. And don't forget to review!
