A/N: Random little fic I decided to write while in the middle of two of my novels. One of them is up, it's called The Makings of Destiny and it's about Lily and James and everyone in their seventh year. The other one is a Bellatrix Black fic which will be up within the next week. He used to be her everything. He was the reason she woke up every morning at five am and walked the mile to her uncle's house to see him. He was the reason she took her tea on the terrace, it was the only place in the whole house where she could see him clearly as he walked around in the garden.
He was the reason she laughed while the rest of her family screamed. He was the reason she still had some sanity while the rest of them were born insane. He was her reason to live.
He was also the reason she died inside. He was also the reason she threw herself so completely into the Dark Arts upon graduation. And, most importantly, he was the reason she was a Death Eater.
It was all his fault.
She used to be his everything. She was the reason he woke up every morning at five am to open the back door so she could sneak into the house and they could talk for hours on end. She was the reason he spent hours in the garden, he was always searching for something that could compare to her beauty.
She was the reason he put up with their screaming for so long. She was the reason he was able to regain some of the sanity he lost while living in that house.
She was also the reason he was dead. She was also the reason he fought so readily for the Light. And, most importantly, she was the reason he spent years in a prison for a crime he did not commit.
It was all her fault.
The saddest part was, she still loved him.
The worst part was, he still needed her.
