Moonlight & Sunlight
Chapter 1- A Yearning for Light
*AU/N* I don't feel any pull or ideas for my other story, and since I understand Luna, I feel like I understand her, I'm going to do a story about her. I know Luna.
Luna Lovegood.
Not 'Loony' Lovegood.
I have been thought of as 'loony' by my schoolmates, but I don't mind. No words can describe why I believe in these 'crazy' things, such as the Crumple-Horned Snorckacks. I believe in them because my mum used to. My mother was a wonderful woman. She always knew what to say. That is why I don't attend Hogwarts anymore. That's why I am stuck in a cold, damp cellar. My father decided that my mother wouldn't stand against Harry Potter at his time of need, so he has been printing the Quibbler as a helpline for him. Harry is quite nice; he was my friend when I had none. So it is only fair that father and I help him. But now I've ended up in a cellar in a place called Malfoy Manor. Thus the Sun doesn't shine here, being a cellar and all. I miss the Sun, I yearn for it's light and it's warmth that filled me from my fingertips to toes. The brightest thing in the cellar was an old oil lamp, and my golden hair.
"Mr. Ollivander?" I said suddenly.
"Yes Luna, my dear?" He responded, appearing out of the shadowed corner he sat in.
"When do you think we will see the Sun again?" I pondered, stepping forward to look him in the eye.
He sighed. "I doubt we will ever see it again, Luna." He whispered; his face the image of misery.
"Well, if we do not believe that we will, how there is any hope that we could, I do not know." My knowledge swept over the dark, underground cellar; leaving a cold silence that was uncomfortable, but truthful.
After a long moment of silence, Mr. Ollivander replied.
"Luna; that was something to ponder, indeed," He spoke clearly, choosing his words carefully. "But right now, the only hope is not to be tortured to death." He also spoke the truth.
There was another moment of silence, interrupted by a crash upstairs.
There was screaming and jinxes soared down the stairs, and two more people fell down the steps noisily.
"Harry?"
