Hearing the door slam, Pastor Jim looked up. There stood Sam looking totally frustrated.
"Practice over?"
"Dean and your nephew are competing at archery."
"And you?"
"Why bother? I can't outrun or outshoot either of them. Face it. When it comes to hunting skills, there's no way I can win."
"But your Dad."
"Usually I can do enough to stay out of trouble, but hear 'good job' like Dean. Never. I'm never fast, strong, or accurate enough."
"There are nonphysically demanding skills."
"Besides research?"
Pulling out a Latin primer, Pastor Jim nods then grinning adds a set of lock picks.
