A/N: Hey! So this is just a short one shot prompted by something I saw on tumblr that made me laugh out loud, causing my entire family to turn and stare at me like I'd gone insane! Haha Let me know what you think :)
"Lexa this is ridiculous." Clarke groaned as she listened to the commander go through another long winded, insanely complicated, plan to bring the rest of Skaikru back into the fold.
Lexa shot her a glare from the other side of the room where she had been using little models on her war table to showcase her plan.
"Don't give me that look, I don't understand why your choosing the most over dramatised plan I think I have ever heard."
Lexa grinned slightly, "Have I ever told you about how Kane and I met?"
Clarke looked at her curiously, come to think of it, she hadn't actually heard this story.
"I had Kane and the other one, Jaha I believe is his name, locked up in one of my temporary stronghold. It was just after, well..."
"Finn?" Clarke asked, guessing Lexa's reason for trailing off.
She nodded slightly before clearing her throat.
"I wanted to understand them, understand the Skaikru. So I got Gustos to pretend to be me, and I played a servant. Complete with a limp and props, I took in a pitcher and some spare bandages. I stayed in the room with them and then when the one called Jaha tried to bargain using my life I disarmed him rather...dramatically, as you would say. You should've been their to witness the look on Kane's face!" She smiled, looking incredibly pleased with herself.
Clarke rolled her eyes, "And you couldn't have just listened at the door?"
Lexa muttered something darkly and frowned at her model of Arkadia on her desk.
"What?" Clarke asked, not catching what she had said.
"That's exactly what Indra said. It wasn't even a door, it was more a gate."
Clarke laughed, "See? So it was all completely unnecessary then? You just have to add a dramatic flair to everything."
Lexa nodded, leaning towards her with a happy glint in her eye, "You mean like the first time we-"
Clarke cut her off by pressing their lips together, pulling back after a moment.
"And every time since." She murmured before their lips reconnected.
