I'm doing a poem for once. Yay. Read it.

A boy bound by fate.

Touched by death.

His spirit pure,

but image tainted.

An angel lies within,

but will all the hatred,

transform him into a creature such feared?

The boy's spirit roams and protects,

the land from which he was expelled.

His eyes greener than emeralds,

but bluer then the morning sky.

The angel within him always shining,

a hero through and through.

His heart is pure, but his soul is tainted.

With the fear of what he could do.

The hero soars through the sky.

As he goes to save the day.

Come tomorrow, he will be blamed

for all that has happened.

The boy shrugs it off,

without a care.

For he knows he is a hero.

Even though,

his whole life is nothing but a lie.

He stands tall and proud,

to know that he has saved

everyone.

Although they have no clue.

They live in fear of him,

thinking he is nothing but bad.

They only see the demon he could be,

and not the angel inside, that handles

all of the danger that he protects them from.

And he doesn't even complain

about this burden.

Hated by all besides

the two that stand by his side the whole way,

and the secret protector,

who guards him in more ways than one.

They remember who the boy once was,

the boy they know so well.

The keepers of the angel's secret,

are his strength.

Those who help him be a hero.

And keep the demon inside of him,

locked away.

So, he can keep his humanity

for another day.

The child tries his best

to be accepted.

As he tries his hardest,

to protect the ones who hate him.

And the ones who care for him.

All the same.

His hair white,

to show his purity.

But, all the people see is pure evil.

All they see is the lie,

the lie he lives.

His whole life.

His very existence.

The power he holds,

he hides.

A true hero, he is.

Giving all a second chance.

Even the enemies he fights,

and protects his city from.

He always holds back,

at least a tiny bit.

For he is

the Phantom.

And he believes in second chances.

So… tell me what you think. It's my first REAL poem for DP, so be nice.
