He didn't really want Ayanami to die.
Actually he really really do, his explosive rage and cold anger betrayed that thought, but he didn't really understand why Ayanami should be dead between them.
He killed. Oh, he murdered so many people. Strangers and friends and family alike, didn't he? Ayanami killed his own brothers. Brothers who were Teito's dad and uncle.
He had driven his sword through Teito's family. His kill-list could outshine a veteran hitman. He had possessed Mikage and left him at Death's door. He never regretted his murders and was living a relatively happy life. Why does he deserve to die and not Teito?
Maybe that's why he left the reason why so muddled and blurry. Because if Ayanami deserved to die, so did Teito.
He still couldn't regret his own kills.
He was just trying to survive.
They were really bad people.
Excuses. Excuses. Excuses.
He'll never tell Frau.
