Suki paced the floor of the jail cell, her bare feet and lack of armor feeling strange. She pressed a fevered hand to her blank face, the face without the marks. She felt exposed in this inferno, and the fire eating her alive. She wasn't like the other prisoners, she'd held on for months now, growing stronger, keeping her spirits high. She didn't know what to expect, but now she was beginning to dream- she dreamed of him and the slight possibility of rescue. She remembered those warm blue eyes and his loving smile the last time he saw her. She paced faster, trying to run him out of her mind, she was a warrior, not a lovesick dog! She was pacing when she heard the door creak open, she fell into her automatic defensive stance, legs apart with her good leg slightly forward her hands at the ready, into firm steady fists. The guard was smaller than the others, but smarter, and stupider seeing he turned around to shut the door, leaving her a few seconds where he wasn't watching her, where she could've escaped if she wanted to, she just hadn't thought that far.

"Uh..." The guard stammered, but not before Suki saw his eyes, a warm blue. With her leg she kicked the side of his helmet knocking it to the ground. Suki smiled, she still had quite some skill as a warrior. Her next expression, was blank. "Suki..." The guard said. Sokka had grown since the last time she saw him, he was broader, and muscular. His childish persona seemed to disappear from his eyes, but his smile was still evident, he was the same, but for once he looked sad. Suki didn't know what to think, she just disobeyed all training and let her heart guide her for once in her life. She felt the tears prick her eyes as she looked into his eyes once more

"Sokka..." She said, running into him, her arms gathering around him. She didn't want this moment to end. Sokka after a moment wrapped his arms around her. He couldn't let go, he didn't care about the war, he didn't care about the plan, he didn't care about Zuko or Mai, or any of the others, because he had found her... the most important of them all

"I found you" He said, his voice cracking as it still did "I finally found you" He cried into her hair

"You found me" She mewed, kissing him gently on the lips. Sokka in that moment, found everything romantic, in the middle of that inferno.
