Special Jewel
She liked how she was a jewel. That made her feel special: something she'd missed out on for far too long.
But not any more. She'd been the one picked out. The one gifted. The one loved. The one with this new power trilling under her skin, straining to be caressed, to be let loose once more.
'Come to me, Sara,' she sung. 'Come drown in my shine, you little dark soul.'
She laughed at her own words. It amused her greatly now. Poor, foolish Sara, drowning in a dark, coal-stained soul. If only she hadn't fallen in love with her brother. If only she could have left him for dear little Ruri who had a little crush. If only she couldn't have been so damn perfect otherwise…
But Sara was a sinner, and Ruri was now a jewel, an angel. A special angel – Lapis Lazuli. Loved by Rosiel.
After all, it was Rosiel who saved her when Sara dragged Setsuna away from her. But that was okay. Jewels weren't so easy to damage, or lose. She'd drag Setsuna back and give him a taste, and she'd crush Sara first.
It was funny. Lapiz Lazuli didn't love Setsuna. Not at all. She liked him, certainly – but only as much as an object that was rightfully hers. Ruri was the one who loved. Ruri who had become an angel. A jewel.
Special.
