He would pray, pray to God.
Whether or not he listened.
He would pray.
To keep her safe
To keep her happy
He would jump off a mountain.
He would bring her the sea.
Anything.
Everything.
He would do for her.
Except this.
He would leave.
And never come back.
Because for her to be with him was dangerous.
She would be killed.
Then he would die.
And he would never let that happen.
"Bella."
"You aren't good for me, Bella"
He was dying inside.
But she would be safe.
And that, that was all that mattered.

Just some thoughts on what Edward was thinking while he left Bella...a bit sad, but I thought it gave out what he might've been feeling...
