The Truth

A/N: If you have not read Chapter 412 of Bleach and do not want to be spoiled, please do not read.
"Honesty is honestly the hardest thing for me right now"
Rangiku lay there on the rooftop of the tallest skyscraper. She wanted to move, get up and run after the man who have just stabbed her right on the chest, but she could not. The wound was not fatal, they both knew it. The man stabbed her not because he wanted to take away life from her but because he wanted to temporarily immobilize her for a reason she is yet to find out.
She knew what she said was just a web of lies. She even used poor Kira as an alibi. She stalled to avoid answering the inevitable question because of something. And that something just broke the heart of the man who stabbed her.
He was waiting for an answer that might have changed his mind. He was waiting for the answer that could have changed both of their miserable and pathetic lives, the answer that could have changed everything FOREVER.
But no! She was afraid to say it. She was afraid of it. She was afraid of the truth and did not want to admit it.
THE TRUTH THAT SHE INDEED NEEDS, WANTS AND LOVES THE WICKED AND LYING MURDERER WHO BETRAYED HER FOR A REASON SHE NEVER KNEW.
And not telling the truth broke both of their failing hearts, especially Gin's.
Yet he spares her life. She now knows why.
He cannot bear to take the precious life of the ONLY woman who loves him and the ONLY woman whom he loved.
Another thing,
He was hoping that someday, when they meet again, he would hear her telling the truth at last.
"I am here because i will always love you and be with you even if it's against the odds."

A/N: This one shot is based on the 412th chapter of the Bleach Manga. I just wanted to give my point of view about the Gin and Rangiku part. The title is based on the song "The Truth" by Kris Allen.
