"Neh, Todoroki-kun?" he asked, sitting on the bed next to him.

"What is it, Midoriya?" He tried to keep his voice level, but couldn't quite tell if his usual monotone made it through the thing stuck in his throat. He swallowed, but it didn't budge.

"Is it true that-" here, his voice quieted until it was barely audible. "-you're the traitor, working for your brother to bring down hero society, including your abusive father, Endeavor?"

Todoroki startled, jerking his torso away from the mouth that was whispering in his ear. He gulped.

"Oh, you are. I'm so glad... You see, the reason I said that is because I was looking for a friend. Someone-" his gaze hardened into something unbelievably sharp, looking over Todoroki's shoulder, and Todoroki swallowed for an entirely different reason, "-who hates heroes as much as I do." He suddenly turned back to Todoroki. "Neh, can I call you Todo?"

Todoroki nodded.

Midoriya smiled, tears in his eyes. "Call me Mido."

He nodded again.

"Todo, let's meet again soon, please."

But before he could reply, Midoriya dissapeared.
