*New story alert! Buzz/Jessie one-shot. Enjoy!

On a crisp, cool morning in October, the toys watched as Jessie and Buzz danced the tango. Since they arrived at Bonnie's and danced to the Spanish version of "friend in me" they liked to show off different dance moves. Some of the toys enjoyed it, while others, like Potato head and Hamm found it annoying.

"Do they have to dance all the time? It makes me sick." Potato head said.

"I agree with the spud, I mean the first time was cute. Now it's just irritating." Hamm said.

"Oh leave them be guys. Trixie said. They're in love." The cowgirl and space ranger finished their dance and the toys applauded. Buzz pulled Jessie close.

"It's a pleasure dancing with you, Jessie." He said, smiling.

"The pleasure is all mine, Buzz." Jessie said. They stared at one another and started leaning in, their lips almost touching when Buzz pulled away.

"Um okay, I should be going." He said, and walked away. Jessie stared at him, as did Woody. Something was off about his friend and he was going to find out what.

The next day, Woody searched all over the room for Buzz when someone grabbed him by his foot and pulled him under the bed.

"What the...Buzz? What are you doing?" He asked.

"I need your advice on something, sheriff." Buzz said softly.

"Would it have anything to do with you blowing off Jessie yesterday?" Buzz looked at him and then looked away.

"Yes."

"It looked like you were about to kiss her."

"I was. I wanted to, except, I just...it's our first and I wanted it to be a little bit more special than that." Woody looked at his friend, almost about to laugh.

"Wait a minute; you two haven't kissed yet?" The space ranger shook his head. "You've been dating for almost a year!"

"Hey, watch it cowboy! It took you almost three years to tell Bo that you loved her!"

"True, but it took only six months for me to kiss her!"

"How did you do it, cowboy?"

"You're really asking me how I kissed my girlfriend? That's a little weird."

"No, I mean what led up to it?" Buzz asked, laughing

"Nothing really, Woody said. She and I were just sitting on the windowsill one night and I just leaned in and kissed her. I'd had wanted to do it for a while, and took a leap of faith. I didn't have to make it a grand gesture; I just knew the moment was right. That's all you need to do."

"But if I were to do a romantic gesture, what would you suggest?" Woody sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Well you two certainly love to dance, so maybe find a song that reflects your love for her and present it to her." Buzz thought for a minute.

"I think I know just the song. But, I may need to borrow your guitar. "

Two weeks later, on the day of Buzz and Jessie's one year anniversary, Jessie finished wrapping Buzz's gift when she heard him calling for her.

"Jessie, where are you?" He called out. She came out from behind the bed.

"Good morning, babe, Happy Anniversary." Jessie said, handing him a small box. Inside was a matador jacket. "For my handsome matador."

"Thank you, mi amour. Now it's time for your gift." He pointed to Woody, who handed him the guitar. Buzz started strumming and began to sing.

I will stand by you
Even when we fall
I will be the rock, that holds you up
and lifts you high so you stand tall

I won't let you go
No one can take your place
a couple fights & lonely nights
Don't make it right to let it go to waste

Suddenly, he tossed the guitar back to Woody, who caught it and continued to play, and then grabbed Jessie and began to dance with her.

And I won't let you fall
I won't let you go
No matter where you are
No matter where you are, I'll be there

Jessie followed in time and started singing as well.

And I won't let you fall

I won't let you go

No matter where you are

No matter where you are, I'll be there.

At this point, they were swinging and dancing slow. At the final note of the song, Buzz pulled Jessie in and kissed her full on the lips, completely taking her by surprise. Jessie took a breath and fell into his kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck. Around them, their friends cheered. Woody leaned against the bed post, smiling. They broke apart and Jessie smiled at Buzz.

"Wow." She said.

"Yeah, wow." He said. "That's not all I have for you. Happy anniversary my desert flower." He handed her a box. Inside was a small necklace with a flower charm. "A flower that grows in the desert is rare, but you are the rarest of all." She stared at him and kissed him again. They broke apart and hugged. Buzz caught Woody's eye and nodded at him. Woody tipped his hat at his best friend. Well done, space ranger. The cowboy thought. It was the best kiss ever.

The end

*What do we think? I have a Bo/Woody first kiss story too. It's a little simpler, but takes a while to lead up to. Till then, partners!*
